End of year music recitals at Shoreline CC are open to the public

Friday, June 14, 2019

Four recitals are being held at Shoreline Community College on Friday. These are the end of year performances by students who have been studying in the music department. They are being judged by music faculty.

Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend these free events. Performers are always energized by the presence of an attentive audience, so "we hope to fill the room with supportive faces."

Come for one or for all. There are coffee stands and a cafeteria in the Pagoda Union Building. There is a small fee for parking on campus during the day.

Outstanding Performance students will later perform their winning piece at an Honors Recital.

Event Title: Piano Juries

Event Title: Vocal Class Recital
Time: 7:00pm
- parking is free

This formal event is the final Spring quarter performance for our students enrolled in Voice Classes. The students choose a solo piece for their performance. Selections range from present day composers to Early Baroque pieces. There will be small vocal ensembles performing as well. For some of our students, this will be their first experience singing in a formal setting in front of an audience. They’ve been working hard to develop their stage presence, as well as their vocal skills, and it is a very exciting event for them. Performers are always energized by the presence of an attentive audience, so we hope to fill the room with supportive faces.
