Sunday sign-wavers last weekend again encouraged local voters to cast their ballots in the Nov. 3 midterm election, hoping passing drivers will see the choice as they do - gravely important.
The more than 40 area residents who turned out for a damp, gray "Social Justice Sundays" sign-waving on Aurora Avenue North (Hwy 99) at N 205th St, the Shoreline-Edmonds line, also carried signs calling out administration policies and actions seen to be causing U.S. foreign influence and domestic economic strength to wither.
Those include the president’s continued flirting with international military actions and betrayal of U.S. ally Ukraine, joined corruption, the threat of fascism and violations of the rule of law as top issues.

Sign-wavers and a large percentage of motorists driving by (as judged by horn-honking, hand-waves and thumbs-up) are hoping the tide will start to turn next Tuesday, but know whatever the outcome, the road will be long.
"Social Justice Sundays" Sign-waving continues next Sunday, November 1 (and every Sunday), 1-2pm. All are welcome to join in - bring a sign or borrow one.
As always, non-perishable food, toiletries, and school supplies will be accepted for donation to an organization assisting those in need.
