Second half of property tax due by November 1, 2026

Dear King County taxpayer,

The second half of property tax payments are due on Monday, November 2, 2026, for property owners who pay taxes themselves and not through a mortgage lender.

If you have already paid, please disregard this message.

Payment options: Taxpayers are encouraged to pay online using our safe, secure eCommerce system found at kingcounty.gov/PropertyTax . Watch the video for easy-to-follow instructions.
  • eCheck payment (flat $0.55 fee): An eCheck is an online version of a physical check that is deducted directly from your checking account. When you make your online tax payment on the Treasury website, you authorize the bank to electronically withdraw funds from your checking account for your tax payment. The convenience fee for an eCheck transaction is 55 cents.
  • 2.35% of the total amount charged is applied to all debit and credit card transactions: Payments can be made with VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. All debit and credit card payments are processed immediately and 2.35% is added to the charge.
  • 3.95% of the total amount charged is applied to all international credit transactions.
Note about transaction fees: a transaction fee (convenience fee) is charged by our payment processor. King County does not receive any part of the transaction fee.
  • Payments by mail: You may mail your property tax payment to King County Treasury, 201 S. Jackson St., #710, Seattle, WA 98104. If you want to ensure that your mail receives a postmark on the day you mail it, consider asking a retail associate at a Post Office retail counter to manually postmark your envelope for free. Learn more at USPS.com
  • Taxpayers may also drop off payments at the secure drop box during business hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Dropbox is in the main lobby of the King Street Center, located at 201 S. Jackson St., Seattle, WA 98104.
