Starting Monday, October 12, 2026 crews will shift traffic lanes and close the south sidewalk on NE 185th St between 103rd Ave NE and Ross Rd for Stride construction.
Work is scheduled Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm until summer 2027 and includes utility work, roadway improvements, and station construction.
- NE 185th St will remain open to traffic. Eastbound traffic will be shifted into the westbound through lane, and westbound traffic will be shifted into the right-turn lane at the NE 185th St and 104th Ave NE intersection. Access through the intersection will be maintained, including turns onto and off NE 185th St.
- Businesses and residences will remain open and accessible throughout construction. Pedestrian detours will direct people around the work area.
- The affected King County Metro bus stop at the southwest corner of NE 185th St and 104th Ave NE will be closed. King County Metro bus stops at Bothell City Hall and on Beardslee Blvd will remain open for use.
- Travel conditions may change during construction, and on-street parking will be reduced near the work zone. Drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians should follow posted signs and allow extra time for travel.
- Building road improvements is key to ensuring the Stride S3 buses can move through the route more quickly. This work will allow Sound Transit to deliver fast, frequent, and reliable rapid transit service along S3. For more information on Stride S3 bus service, visit the Stride webpage.
