On October 3, 2026 at approximately 10:28pm, Lake Forest Park Police Department officers responded to the area of NE 179th Ct and 28th Ave NE following reports from several residents who heard numerous gunshots and observed people running and screaming.
Officers arrived immediately and located a male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the hip. Preliminary information indicated the incident may have been a drive-by shooting, and the suspect(s) had already left the area before officers arrived.
LFP Police officers and fire department personnel provided first aid to the victim, who was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Several neighboring law enforcement agencies also responded to assist LFP officers with the investigation. A 9mm handgun and multiple shell casings were located at the scene, and detectives are continuing to process the area and gather evidence.
