Richmond Beach Library will close for construction September 20 - October 26. 2026. During that time, a metal roof will be installed to better preserve the library and its collections. The library will reopen on October 27.
There will be no book drop or parking lot access during this closure.
Saturday, September 19 is the last day to pick up holds at Richmond Beach before the closure begins.
After that, Richmond Beach holds will be automatically sent to the Shoreline Library. If you would like your holds sent to another location during the closure, please speak with staff or select an alternate pickup location by visiting the “My Settings” page in your KCLS online account.
Please return items to other nearby library locations. You can also return items when the Richmond Beach Library reopens, as KCLS does not charge late fines.
During the closure, check out programs and events at nearby Shoreline and Lake Forest Park Libraries, or online.
