Poem: Photo The Rhodora

The Rhodora

On being asked, Whence the flower ?

In May, when sea-winds pierce our solitudes,

I found the fresh Rhodora in the woods,

spreading its leafless blooms in damp nook,

to please the desert and sluggish brook.
