Diggin' Shoreline seeks board members

We know you are out there! …folks who love Diggin’ Shoreline and are passionate about our mission to serve our community. Perhaps you’ve visited with us at an info booth, volunteered at a work party, attended our free movie event, or picked up free veggies from us on Earth Day.

Now in our 11th year, Diggin’ Shoreline is actively seeking board members for the 2019 fiscal year to bring new ideas, energy, ethnic and gender diversity, and expertise to the leadership of the organization.

You need not be a gardener to get involved with Diggin… just a passion for bringing people together in community around gardens to learn, teach and share.

A big part of our mission is helping children connect to nature through growing. Educators and students are especially encouraged to join us. Many of the ideas we’ve implemented in recent years have come from our high school board members. Alas, all have now graduated, and we miss their fresh perspectives and enthusiasm.

Diggin’ Shoreline is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our board currently meets six times per year. Dates of future board meetings will be decided by consensus of the newly seated board.

To request an application, call us at 206-437-9118, email us at info@digginshoreline.org or visit our website and click on the application on our home page.
