Open enrollment for kindergarten registration has been extended to March 7 for Shoreline Public Schools due to the inclement weather and snow closures that occurred earlier this month.

Students registered by March 7 will be put in a drawing on March 19 to fill kindergarten spaces available at their neighborhood schools.

Those registering after March 7 will be added to the waitlist as they register. All registered kindergarten students will have a guaranteed space in their neighborhood school or an overflow kindergarten site regardless of when they register.

In order to attend Kindergarten in the fall, children must be five years old by August 31, 2019. When registering at your home/boundary/neighborhood school bring:
  • Proof of age (e.g. birth certificate, passport or USCIS document)
  • Health history, including immunization records
  • Proof of residency (e.g. utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, property tax statement) - Shoreline residents only
  • Parent's/Guardian's telephone
  • Name, address, and phone number of child's doctor and dentist
