Monday's meeting marked the last meeting for Debi Ehrlichman, who is retiring after 12 years on the school board, including several terms as Board President.

The meeting was preceded by a gathering in the Shoreline Room for speeches of appreciation from some of the people who have worked with her over the years.

In her farewell remarks, Debi said,
"It has been such an honor and privilege to serve the community these last twelve years and I am very proud of our school district - there is strong administrative leadership, a sound budget, active family engagement, high student achievement, and a pervasive sense of accessibility and transparency throughout the district."

Later in the evening, Debi's family shared with her that a fund in her name has been established at the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation.

Her daughter, Rebecca Ehrlichman Blume, said that "The Debi Ehrlichman Fund for Educational Excellence will continue our mom’s legacy of investing in the students and staff of the Shoreline School District."

"We welcome donations to the Shoreline Public School Foundation in Debi’s name as a way of honoring her decades of service to the District. Gifts can be made via the Foundation’s website here
