Geralyn Shreve, longtime Seahawks fan, has had season tickets since 1975.

A retired Shoreline Schools teacher, she was surprised at halftime of the Seahawks’ matchup against Los Angeles this year.

This year the Seahawks began inviting a ticket holder who has supported the team since Day 1 to come onto the field during half time.

Geralyn had entered a drawing for the promotion, which sent all Seahawks ticket holders an email and required them to vote for Pro Bowl players and complete a short form to be eligible.

Geralyn received a call that she would be called down to the field during the Los Angeles game. The announcer on the mic asked her who she thought should be going to the Pro-Bowl.

Geralyn said, “ I think Doug Baldwin because I think he is underrated.”

The announcer then surprised her by saying, “ That’s a good choice. And you’re a good choice to go too.”

Geralyn was startled to find that she had won tickets to the Pro Bowl in Orlando. She was allowed to bring her son, Gary, and his wife, LaVeta. The Seahawks paid for the flight, the room, the game, and a televised conference with the players.

Incidentally, that was the first time that Doug Baldwin went to the ProBowl.

She even received a “fan” shirt to walk through the airport with the Seahawks mascot, Blitz.
