Shoreline Fire notice of public hearing re condemnation of property for new North City fire station

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

This notice is posted pursuant to RCW 8.25.290

The citizens of Shoreline passed a bond measure in 2015 to provide funding for a new fire station.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Shoreline Fire Department will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, October 6, 2016 to consider whether to take final action to adopt a Resolution authorizing condemnation of real property for construction of a new Fire Station 63 under Chapter 52.12.021 RCW. The Board of Commissioners will consider taking final action to adopt the proposed condemnation Resolution at the Public Hearing.

All interested persons may attend the Public Hearing and be heard regarding the planned final action of adopting the proposed condemnation Resolution.

DATE OF HEARING: Thursday, October 6, 2016
TIME OF HEARING: 5:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Shoreline Fire Department Headquarters / Station 61 First Floor Meeting Room, 17525 Aurora Avenue North, Shoreline, WA 98133

  1. Where can we find out the address of the property they want to condemn?

  2. Unfortunately, there was no effort made to notify residents directly effected. If the addresses had been posted, that would have at least made this process more transparent. If the addresses were known at the time of this notice, WHY weren't residents bordering the properties notified?
