Shorecrest Varsity Hip Hop Team takes state 2A title

The Shorecrest Varsity Hip Hop Team competed at the WIAA State Dance / Drill Championships this past weekend in Yakima at the Sundome.

Competing against 2A schools in the hip hop category, the team won the title by edging out Tumwater High School by 3.1 points with a score of 288.3 out of 300 with a "Superior" rating.

Coming into this year's State event, Shorecrest was the defending State Champs of 2015 and also captured their 11th consecutive District Title earlier in the month.

The team consists of 9th through 12th graders lead by Co-Captains Annie Cha and Keelie Frisk with Officer Manahil Atiq. Members include: Alayna Moffat, Annie Cha, Christian Burke, Clara Grantier, Jaimia Plancich, Jeffrey Freitag, Katie Wong, Keelie Frisk, Keith Echague, Manahil Atiq, Meagan Brooksbank, Mya Torres-Norton, Natalie Torres, Noel Basilio, Olivia Makennan, Rylie Roufs, Tommy Mac, Trinity Howell, and Yori Bolonduro.
