Were You in Lake Forest Park in 1986?

In June 1986, the City of Lake Forest Park celebrated its 25th anniversary with a family fun run, tennis tournament, and other events.

The anniversary banquet included unveiling of the historical quilt, which now hangs in the City Hall lobby.

City staff recently received a donated t-shirt from the fun run event and is now looking for other memorabilia.

Contact Jennifer Martin at 206-368-5440 if you have any pictures or other items from the 25th anniversary that you'd be interested in donating or loaning to the City. They hope to assemble a display by the end of August.

“Mayor Rainforth reported the 25th Anniversary of the City appears to have been a success, largely through the efforts of committee chairperson, Pat Hunt.”
