Matt West
Matt West was appointed a member of the 2015 Men’s Indoor Team for the Pan Am Games in Toronto and is competing this week against teams from North and South America.

He graduated this spring from Pepperdine University with a degree in Sports Administration and Marketing and has been training ever since for the Pan Am Games, a precursor to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

His recent credits include: team captain for the 2013 FIVB World Championship in Turkey, U.S. Men’s Junior National Team in 2012 NORCECA championship and two-time AVCA First Team All-American for Men's indoor Volleyball. Matt was a 2011 graduate of Shorewood High school.

Volleyball is in his blood! His mother, Raquel Chumpitaz-West, played for the Peruvian National Volleyball Team at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and his father Mark West played volleyball at George Williams College in Downers Grove, Ill.
