Are you interested in learning more about riding The Central Light Link Rail (The Link) but are unfamiliar with or reluctant to use The Link?
This training provides a classroom style orientation in riding The Link as well as offering one trainer-guided field trip (five or more people must sign up).
Metro pays for the bus fare.
Some of the items covered in the orientation are:
- How to identify the Link stations
- Reading the signs
- How to get off at the correct Station
- Paying the fare
- How to get / use the ORCA card
- When to get off and how to get back home
- ...and much more
Participants wishing to go on the field trip need to have attended the workshop. The destination of the field trip will be discussed during the workshop and all parties agree to travel to / from the destination in a group setting.
so simple a child can figure it out, yeah right! You need a class to figure out HOW to use the system. Well I used the system, my bike was too big for the rack on the train, the addition of money to my orca card didn't show up (needs 48 hours to add money online- dumb) so had to put in money at the station. Ride was totally bumpy and it went through an area of Seattle that I wouldn't want to leave a dog I didn't like in. Trains got jammed trying to get into the tunnel and overall the ride ended up being 1 hr from the Airport to downtown. What a mess.
