The ELNA (Echo Lake Neighborhood Association) had a picnic scheduled for what turned out to one of the hottest days of the year, on Tuesday, July 15, 2014.

Normally, this annual event is held at Echo Lake Park. As the park was under construction, the association moved their picnic to Shoreline Park, north of the Shoreline Pool.

The deeply wooded site was a perfect site for a hot day. Neighbors and visitors enjoyed the warm shade under tall trees.

The picnic is held once a year, on the third Tuesday of July. The Echo Lake Neighborhood is bounded by Aurora, 205th, I-5, and 185th, and everyone who lives or works in that area is considered to be a member of the association.

Regular meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through June (except for December), at Shoreline City Hall. For more information check the webpage, Facebook page, or email.
