At Shorecrest, demolition of the old main academic building began on April 23. Meanwhile, construction crews are installing an extensive underground detention system to handle storm water. New parking areas and landscaping are expected to be completed for the opening of the 2014-15 school year in September.

Across town at Shorewood, crews will begin constructing the athletic facilities in May. This phase will include a football/soccer field with synthetic turf and track, six tennis courts and baseball and softball fields.
