Renton schools chief to be Gov Inslee's Chief of Staff

Governor-elect Jay Inslee named Renton schools superintendent Mary Alice Heuschel his chief of staff Thursday morning. Heuschel, who has led the Renton district for seven years, served in the same position at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Governor-elect Inslee recently named his education transition team: Brad Smith, Microsoft vice president and general counsel (and Roundtable board member);  Mary Alice Hueschel (see above for her new staff position), and Elson Floyd, president of Washington State University.
