Nominations open for 2011 NUHSA human services awards

The North Urban Human Services Alliance (NUHSA) has opened nominations for its 2011 human service agency awards.

  • Is there a human service agency your community counts on?
  • Is there a program you always turn to for help?
  • Is there a individual that inspires you and others?

The Human Services Award recognizes an exemplary individual, organization or business that has made outstanding efforts to support human services in North King County. Nominees will be considered based on their efforts that support and align with NUHSA’s goals:

  • Provide a strong voice and leadership role in local and regional human service decisions.
  • Identify and communicate emerging community human service needs and issues.
  • Support cooperation, coordination and collaboration among providers, funders and the community to enhance resources and the ability to respond to need in the community.
  • Advocate for a continuum of care that increases access to services.

All nominees will be recognized at NUHSA’s Annual Meeting on Thursday October 27, 9-10:30 AM at Third Place Commons in Lake Forest Park.

Community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about the nominees and how they have contributed to improving human service delivery in North King County.
