The Shorewood Jazz Band, directed by Dave Johnson, received a 2nd Place Trophy in the AA Band category at the Reno Jazz Festival. In addition, Mason Steinbueck/tenor saxophone, and Kelsey Johnson/piano received outstanding musician awards. The band competed against others from Washington, Oregon, and California.

The Shorecrest Jazz Band, directed by Vince Caruso, traveled to Spokane to compete in the 15th annual Jazz Northwest Festival hosted by Mead High School.
Based upon their preliminary performance they qualified to perform in the evening finals and earned a third place finish in the AAA division.
