Scot girls took 8-game win streak into Friday game with Mountlake Terrace after Wednesday victory over Meadowdale

The Shorecrest girls’ basketball team took an eight-game winning streak into a Friday game at Mountlake Terrace after a Wednesday victory over Meadowdale.

The Scots take a 9-2 Wesco 3A record (10-7 overall) into the 7:30 p.m. Friday game at Mountlake Terrace (2-10 Wesco 3A. 4-14 overall). Shorecrest won a 52-33 home game against the Hawks in early January.

Shorecrest has clinched a berth in the Northwest District 3A tournament and is just a half game behind division leader Lynnwood (10-2,15-3).


In the Shorecrest 67-56 victory over Meadowdale, the Scots took a 42-28 lead after three quarters and hung on for the victory. Janie Uppinghouse led the Scots with 27 points; Brianne Lasconia scored 16; and India Matheson added 12.
