Allied Waste update on garbage, recycling, yard waste - LFP

LFP is contracted with Allied Waste. Shoreline is contracted with CleanScapes.

From Allied Waste

Inclement Weather-Allied Waste Garbage Services-Wednesday November 24, 2010:

Commercial and Roll Off operations will be working in all areas. Critical services are being prioritized. Drivers are finding containers frozen to the ground and commodities frozen inside the containers. They are doing the best they can to completely empty containers.

Residential operations will not operate today, Wednesday, November 24,  due to dangerous road conditions.

If your Residential service for Garbage, Recycling, or Yard Waste is not collected our plan is to provide double the regular amount to be picked up on your next regular collection day.

If weather conditions prevent collection of garbage or recycling, please remove the containers from the street.

  • Up to twice the regular amount of garbage and/or food & yard waste will be accepted at no additional charge on the next regularly scheduled collection day for each container. Excess materials due to missed collection can be put in a temporary container, such as a box or paper bag marked "Garbage," "Recycling" or "Yard Debris There is no limit on the amount of accepted recyclables for collection.
  • No credit is given for delayed residential collection due to weather conditions, but up to twice the regular amount is accepted at no charge to compensate for the missed collection.
  • Every Other Week Recycling & Yard Waste Collected Two (2) weeks after Missed Collection: If recycling or yard waste is regularly collected every other week, the missed material will be collected on the next scheduled day for that container (two weeks from the missed collection), unless residents are otherwise notified by telephone or on this site

Allied Waste Services will be closed on Thursday for the holiday. Thursday's customers will be picked up on Friday and Friday's customers will be picked up on Saturday.
