Shorewood number one singles Hunter Nelson played Edmonds-Woodway’s Youngha Kim in a hard fought three set match and lost his first match of the season. The tennis match pitted two long time friendly rivals from the old WESCO 4A South division.
Edmonds-Woodway won the non-conference match 7-0. They are considered to be a contender in the new WESCO 4A league. Shorewood remains 2-0 in WESCO 3A and 2-1 overall record.
Shorewood hosts Oak Harbor in a league match Monday September 13.
