Shorewood boys split back-to-back games

The Shorewood High School boys’ basketball team split back-to-back Western Conference South Division games, beating Montlake Terrace Thursday and losing to undefeated Jackson Friday.
The results left the Thunderbirds with a 2-2 record and a 2-1 division record that put the them into a four-way tie for third behind undefeated Jackson and Shorecrest. Among the six 4A teams in the division, Shorewood and Montlake Terrace are tied for second behind Jackson.

The Thunderbirds scored a one-point, overtime victory at Montlake Terrace. Micah Mitchell, who hit the game-winning 3-pointer, led Shorewood with 22 points. Teammate Adrian Simpkins had 12 points and nine rebounds.
Mitchell scored 24 points in the 74-63 loss at Jackson Friday.
