After a rainy start, Ridgecrest parking lot yard sales have a wonderful day

Sunday, June 11, 2023

Canopies, plastic, and umbrellas were the order of the early morning

The Annual Tabernacle Baptist Church Parking Lot Sale in the Ridgecrest Neighborhood on Saturday, June 10, 2023 had a very drizzly start to their day. Some people had canopies and others were using large sheets of plastic to keep their ware dray.

Patty Hale was there with the Ridgecrest Neighborhood information booth.

She reports that "It drizzled and misted until almost noon. And while it was wet and folks tried keeping their wares dry by every means possible - it was a success.

"Shoppers were few the first hour or so, but as the morning wore on the turn out improved. By noon there were lots of them!

The skies cleared, the plastic came off, and the shoppers came to buy.

"Everyone I saw made a least one purchase. Some bought enough that they had to bring in a vehicle to pick up their merchandise. Sellers seemed happy - I was pleased to see how well they did by the end of the day.

"The Pastor of the Church, Tom Ruhlman, allowed them to stay for as long as they wanted to. The last were packed up by 3:30pm.

"Church volunteers barbecued and gave away hot dogs throughout the entire day."

The Practicing Church

Come on out for a big community rummage sale and be a part of something good in the neighborhood!

All proceeds will go to Ronald Commons to provide move-in basics for neighbors setting up their apartments and moving from housing instability into affordable housing.

The Practicing Church is a neighborhood church in Richmond Highlands committed to embodying love in the neighborhood for the flourishing of our place and all who live here. CANCELLED: Treasures to be found at the Innis Arden Rummage Sale

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

CANCELLED: Out of an abundance of caution, the Innis Arden Rummage sale has been cancelled.

Huskies, Sounders, Seahawks

Innis Arden has pulled out all the stops for this year's rummage sale, to be held this Saturday and Sunday at the Innis Arden Clubhouse 1430 NW 188th, Shoreline 98177
  • Saturday, March 7, 9:00am - 4:00pm
  • Sunday, March 8, 12:00pm - 4:00pm
Jimi Hendrix fans

Doors open promptly at 9:00am on Saturday, March 7th, and if it's like most years, there will be a line.

Northwest Coast items

Everything there is one of a kind, but once most of the items have sold, it's possible to see the things that were lost in the sheer volume of items for sale. So Treasure Hunters please note that Sunday is 1/2 Price, and Sunday at 2:00pm is the $5/bag sale.

An ornate bird cage, a parasol, and - drum roll, please - one of the notorious South Lake Union Trolley t-shirts that caused the Seattle City Council to quickly rename their new trolley line.

Copper, brass, silverplate, possibly leaded glass, antique radios, and that looks like a Longaberger basket on the lower shelf.

Of course there will be racks full of clothes, a room full of toys, and all kinds of household goods.

Try to get a good parking space so you don't have to carry all those bags so far.
