Fireworks shows at Kenmore, Edmonds, and Kingston

Sunday, July 3, 2011

There are three local fireworks shows that area residents can enjoy - some from the comfort of your own home.

The City of Kenmore is putting on a fireworks show at LogBoom Park at the head of Lake Washington, NE 175th St and 61st Ave. NE.  Start time 10 pm.

Many residents will be able to see the show from home, particularly along the lake in neighborhoods like Sheridan Beach and the NE part of Lake Forest Park, certainly from Uplake in Kenmore.

The City of Edmonds goes all out for the 4th of July, with parades, fun runs, and a fireworks show.
Thanks to Teresa at MyEdmondsNews, for the schedule.

Schedule of Events
Fun run: 11 a.m.
Children’s parade: 12:30 p.m.
Main parade: 1 p.m.
Edmonds Firefighters Waterball Competition at City Park, 3rd Ave. S. and Pine St. at 3 p.m.
Evening Entertainment: 7:30 p.m.
Fireworks (Civic Stadium 6th and Bell): 10 p.m.

She has posted a map of the parade route - it's a perfect small town parade, just like in the old movies.

As a bonus for Shoreline residents in the westside neighborhoods, the town of Kingston is putting on a fireworks show, so you will be able to see a sky full of fireworks from both Edmonds and Kingston.
The parks will be closed - anyone know any good vantage spots (other than friend's decks)?
