Seattle Jazz Network is a 10 piece Jazz Ensemble composed of local area musicians. This small big band plays the standards written for a smaller, more intimate group - from straight ahead jazz standards, latin, and rock charts to beautiful ballads.

The XperianceBand was formed back in 2009 by vocalist, guitarist Clinton Ellison Jr. after a five-year fun with a well-known band on the Las Vegas Strip. Although the band has its own unique selection of originals, they prefer to play covers in order to keep audiences dancing to some of America’s top 40 tunes. The band’s all original genre of music is classified as alternative/soul.

Known as a soulful singer and powerhouse vocalist, Sheri Roberts Greimes is quickly becoming a favorite in the Northwest.

Sheri is playing keyboards and singing as a solo artist or with her trio in many popular venues and with her band, JoMomma for festivals and local events!

Offering an eclectic song-list of quirky tunes, Sheri does anything she sings her way. She doesn’t do the typical “Chick” songs. A recent foray into blues has opened a new avenue of passion in her music.

Sheri has been very successful in the local scene, Sheri won the Washington Blues Society Blues Female Vocalist in 2017 and Blues Solo/Duo Performer in 2018. She recently competed and will represent Washington State in the International Blues Challenge 2019 in Memphis, TN.

Joe Cook is a multiple Twin Cities Music Award winner from Minneapolis, and a legendary blues harmonica player, singer and songwriter. He has relocated to the west coast and has teamed up with the award-winning NW blues legend Tim “Stoop Down” Sherman on guitar to form one of the hottest blues ensembles on the coast! Sizzlin’ west coast and Chicago blues, originals and a platter of smokin’, greasy Texas style guitar! The band also features the GREAT “El Machete” Conrad Ormsby on drums and the incomparable Patty Mey (of “Swamp Mama Johnson” fame ) on bass!

Based on Vashon Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle--hence the name--Island Jazz Quintet (IJQ) is a popular Pacific Northwest band with a captivating live show and three CD releases, all of which have received critical acclaim and extensive national and international airplay. IJQ performs in the Seattle area, having appeared at countless summer music festivals and concert series. The quintet also performs at local coffeehouses and clubs while traveling engagements have taken them as far as China and Mexico. Whether digging up an obscure relic, debuting a new tune-- about half the material is original-- or delivering a take on a favorite Bossa Nova, IJQ is full of talent and surprises.

Red House is Tim Scott, Jimmy Holden, Robin Crane and Mark Noftsger-- a musical experience. Red House isn’t just a Blues band. They embrace many of the idioms that sprang from the Blues; R&B, Soul, Funk and even a little Jazz. And each musician brings to the table almost 50 years of experience and expertise. That’s one reason why Red House is the band other bands come to see. They’ve been in the studio and just released a 4 song EP, titled “Over Yonder” —one cover tune and 3 original songs. Blue Velvet Groove is a 10 member funk/disco/groove supergroup of musicians covering artists such as Stevie Wonder, Chic, Aretha Franklin, Heatwave, LaBelle, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan, Amy Winehouse, Sly and the Family Stone and other artist from the 60’s to current.

Members have years of experience performing at clubs, casinos, wineries, festivals and other venues! This year they were selected to perform at the Sky River Rock Festival 51st Anniversary event and many other amazing local venues. Their goal is to get everyone out on the dance floor and having a great time!

Acclaimed musician Brian Butler plays bold blues and originals. A gifted storyteller, Brian backs his expressive vocals with dynamic guitar and harmonica. Never straying far from his blues background, Brian has created an innovative sound that pays tribute to the classic blues while blending diverse musical influences. Brian's performances are energetic, inspiring and not-to-be-missed.

An internationally known composer, pianist, and recording artist, Scott’s work includes a melodic blend of jazz, classical, and ethnic influences. Scott was up front when New Age was just beginning over 30 years ago.  He was one of the first Windham Hill Artists.

Scott would affectionately call his music Heavy Mental or Cosmic National Geographic, even though he was one of the grandfathers of the New Age scene; he was labeled a “jazz luminary of the future”, by Billboard Magazine.  Much of Scott’s work exhibits departures from the New Age field and includes a melodic blend of jazz, classical and ethnic influences.

Rod Cook and Toast has been performing original and cover material based in blues, rock, country, Americana, surf and American roots music in general around the Pacific NW for over twenty years. They have recorded two albums. The band consists of Rod Cook (guitar, vocals), Jon Bayless (bass, vocals) and Chris Leighton (drums). Jon Bayless is known for his former work as bassist with Heart in addition to holding down the groove with countless bands in the Northwest. Chris Leighton also has played with too many Northwest bands to count in the last forty years as well as Randy Bachmann and Laura Love.

In 2010, Little Bill was honored with the release of “Big Blues for Little Bill” – a compilation of his songs redone by NW artists such as Duffy Bishop, Billy Stoops and Polly O’Keary. The disc coincided with Bill’s 70th birthday with shows at the Triple Door and the Rialto Theatre. All proceeds from the sales of the cd went to the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation – a cause that is near to Bill’s heart.

Over the years, Engelhart has had the pleasure of working with some of the finest musicians in the northwest including Jo Johanson, Isaac Scott and Buck England. In addition, he has opened for legendary acts such as BB King, Robert Lockwood Jr. and Buddy Guy. The singer, songwriter and bass player has a roomful of awards including NW Hall of Fame, the W.C. Handy Award and the BB Life Time Achievement Award.

His current lineup consist of master guitarist Billy ‘Stapes’ Stapleton and the tight and steady multiple award winning Billy Barner on the drums.performed in Texas Roadhouses and in Stadiums. He has performed for two US Presidents, foreign dignitaries, and Jimi's music for the Hendrix family. He has jammed with jazz legends, international blues stars, and has worked with sidemen to the biggest rock acts.

Four's sophisticated Americana stylings were developing long before the name came into fashion. Four performs original material, described by Seattle Sound magazine as A celebration of rock'n'roll songwriting, as well as songs from those who inspire them: the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Roy Orbison, Mark Knopfler, and Steely Dan, among others. Edgy arrangements of favorite jazz standards (by Dave Brubeck and others) are part of who they are, as well. The band's 2010 CD, The Music of Four, was recorded at the legendary Robert Lang Studios, and produced by former Jason Mraz bassist Ian Sheridan. The Music of Four features pristine 3-part harmonies, Steve's masterful guitar work, and Rick's lyrics that touch on Everyman themes, from love and heartache to disappointment and redemption.

Dana Osborn and his bands have been a premier Northwest fixture since the early ‘80s. The current lineup known as The Dana Osborn Band puts on a fun and high energy show. Dana and the band play Dance Music from classic rock and pop, to Dana’s Grovin’ and soulful original music from his two CD’s. Dana and The Band will keep you entertained and on your feet with good time, sing-along feel good songs.

Within the last five years, CD Woodbury has transformed himself from journeyman sideman and “the NW’s best kept secret” into an internationally recognized rising star of the Pacific NW blues scene with his work as singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the CD Woodbury Band. Aureole (pronounced like oriole) blends and bends the sounds from East to West – with a voice that is both hypnotic and uplifting. Over the past four years, Aureole sang lead vocals for the jazz group, Bossa in Wonderland, doing jazz standards – and also spent time studying Indian scales and mantras from global singer / teacher Gina Salā.

Combining these diverse styles, she has created her own unique sound that is sultry, soothing, evocative, and danceable. With her debut album “Wash Me Clean”, Aureole uses her music to inspire introspection, and move people to action in both social justice and environmentalism.

In the mid '60s, The Daily Flash found a way to fuse folk, rock, blues, bluegrass and jazz. That process lives on in this stunning line up. The band features ASCAP composers and does original tunes, but their favorite trick is interpretation. They breathe life into an eclectic repertoire of folk, rock, Celtic and Delta swamp fusion. The Daily Flash brings the spirit of the sixties into the 21st century and delivers to stages all around the Northwest.

Little Bill and the Blue Notes are an institution more than a band. Since 1956 Bill and various lineups have been wowing audiences with their take on rhythm and blues. In 1959 the Bluenotes made the national charts with the teenage love song “I Love an Angel” and since then have released a bevy of recordings.

Guitarist Ronnda Cadle will perform live at One Cup Coffee,16743 Aurora Ave N, Shoreline with Sunnie Larsen on violin, Saturday February 20 from 11am to 1pm.

Ronnda and Sunnie will be playing again at the same place, same time on Saturday March 19.

No cover charge however donations are appreciated.
