7-21….153/Bothell Way. Car running down Bothell Way at 70 mph, ran red light. Rear-ended other vehicle but neither stopped. Seattle Police report subject has hit a car in Seattle and is headed back toward LFP.

Eventually they’ll run out of 4th of July
7-19….30xx NE 185. Subject heard firecrackers. Next day discovered damage to his mailbox. His morning paper was wrapped around a metal can full of nails. Police say it’s just garbage.
7-20….178xx 40 NE. Subject heard shots, scream. Police can smell fireworks, no one around.
7-24….179/28 NE. Two people called in report of shots heard. Aerial fireworks from Shoreline.

It’s illegal to steal, damage, tamper with political signs
7-19….51xx NE 187. White males in four-door sedan smashed a Yes Prop 1 sign.
7-20….165xx 39 NE. Half a dozen Yes on Prop 1 signs were pulled from the right-of-way and dumped in yard. Signs are stored at police station for pickup by campaign.
7-20….51xx NE 187. Attempted theft of YesProp1 political sign. White sedan similar to Dodge Spirit. White male, slender, black hair, in his 20s. A sign was taken from this address the day before, this one was present, but tipped over.
7-24….174xx Ballinger. Illegal sign removal.

Rite Aid really needs to sponsor a driving school
7-19….Towne Centre. Report of a DUI, a Cadillac weaving down the road, went to Bank of America. Police: male driver in his 70’s, not under the influence.

Domestic dramas
7-19….184xx 24 Pl NE. Citizen needs police report so phone company will block harassing calls from bill collectors looking for his son.
7-20….33xx NE 156. Subject looked at bank account online and found someone had cashed a check from subject’s account. Checks kept in drawer at home. Two actual checks were missing. Babysitter only non-family member in house. Froze accounts.
7-20….192xx Forest Park Dr, condos. Subject is in California on vacation but received a $2,000 bill from Sears and a receipt for Western Union. Had locks changed on condo so son and suspect girlfriend can’t get in.
7-24….16xx NE 195. Man came to get his roommate’s belonging from previous living space. Caller wouldn’t let him have them. Roommate appeared and verified permission.
7-24….16xx NE 195. Caller mad at roommate, wanted police intervention. Police say it’s a civil matter.

Alarms and Fumble fingers
7-20….171xx Hamlin Rd NE. Audible alarm. Person in house couldn’t find codes for a while, so police were dispatched. Found codes, call cancelled.
7-21….32xx NE 204. Alarm going on and off for 3-4 days. 3 different calls about alarm, but it’s off when police arrive and no one can tell where it comes from.
7-22….145xx Bothell Wy, Lake City Kidney Center. 911 hang up. Called back, got voice mail for “Jennifer.” Called main number downtown Seattle, don’t know Jennifer.
7-22….192xx 51 NE. Two alarms same location. Homeowner forgot to secure the door.
7-23….182xx 30 NE, group home. 911. Accidental call.
7-23….157xx 38 NE. Alarm. Owner accidentally used remote activation. Reset but alarm company wouldn’t cancel police call due to hold-up status.
7-23….Towne Center. Fire alarm at mall. Assist Fire to clear building.

7-25….38xx NE 150. 911. Trying for husband’s cell phone number.

Good deed
7-23….Albertson’s. Shopper found envelope with $30, turned it in. Shopper who lost the money correctly described the envelope, got money back.

School’s out for summer
7-20….174xx 44 NE. Noise complaint, underage juveniles having a beer party. Some ran from police. Police talked to the teen-aged girl who lived there.
7-24….148xx Bothell, Waterfront apartments. Loud party. Second call 45 minutes later. Police explained consequences to party-goers.
7-25….33xx NE 182. Loud juveniles, music. Police told them to close windows and keep noise down.

Mental, drugs, alcohol
7-20….44xx NE 187. Female left suicide voice mail with her doctor. Doctor called police for welfare check. Found woman alive but groggy from pills. Took to Virginia Mason.
7-22….183xx 28 NE. Alcoholic, adult son threatened suicide with kitchen knife. Father was able to take it away from him. Involuntary commitment at Northwest.
7-25….173xx Beach Dr NE. Mother high on prescription meds trying to drive to Ballard for her “drug issues.” Son tried to stop her by letting air out of tires, but she drove off anyway. Thinks she’s headed to buy street drugs.

Traffic stops
7-22….33 NE/NE 155. Juvenile on bicycle. King County interested, may have outstanding warrant on him. LFP transported home and turned him over to his father.
7-22….NE 178/25 NE. Tabs don’t match vehicle. Owner has two cars and put tabs on wrong car.

Trail
7-22….Burke Gilman Trail. Elderly male fell on trail. Transported to his vehicle. Private transport to hospital.

Love your neighbor
7-19….30xx NE 193. Mentally disabled 10 year old got away from grandma and pulled all the mail from the neighbors’ boxes. Mother came home from work and put the mail back. Police: get locking mailboxes.
7-20….191xx Ballinger, condos. Neighbor B doesn’t want Neighbor A’s dog to potty on common area grass. Threatened to poison dog. Police advised Neighbor A to go to homeowners’ association, consider a harassment order, and call 911 if altercation occurs – and be careful with the dog.
7-21….30xx NE 182. Neighbor’s car parked so it blocks line of sight when subject pulls out of driveway. Plus their dog barks all day. Police: Put 72 hour removal notice on car and left note for resident to talk to police about barking dog.
7-24….193xx 46 NE. Complaint about barking dogs. Police couldn’t locate.

Help! (LFP) Police!
7-19….Station. Guy was involved in a road rage incident on I-5 and the other party took pictures of him. He called 911. Advised to talk to Washington State Patrol because they have jurisdiction.
7-22….Station. Two guys live in same apartment building in Kenmore. Neighbor A called Kenmore police to complain about Neighbor B. Now Neighbor B is following Neighbor A down the road, tailgating. Neighbor A pulled into LFP police station for help. Issue is apparently smoke from one apartment going into the other apartment. Police say don’t follow, don’t intimidate, talk to building manager.
7-24….171xx Bothell. Road rage. Subject was at stop sign and other driver was honking and tailgating. Police contacted other driver who said he honked when other car cut him off in Kenmore but didn’t pay further attention.
7-24….174xx Ballinger. Subject got beat up in Kenmore the day before. Kenmore police told him if he pressed charges they’d all go to jail. Wants help from LFP. Police said sorry, back to Kenmore, their jurisdiction.

Suspicious, maybe
7-20….174xx 32 NE. Guy stopped to talk to teenager mowing lawn about buying the car in the driveway, which was not posted for sale.
7-20….167xx 37 NE. Subject came home to find two people in his carport, a male and female, teen to 20’s in age, black. They said they were selling magazines. Police contacted couple who said they had just knocked on subject’s door and were throwing away their trash in his garbage can when he drove up. Informed them there is no soliciting in LFP.
7-21….167xx 32 NE. Suspicious person asking questions of 15-year-old son. Police could not locate. Callback from original caller - now think it’s a census worker.
7-22….145xx Bothell Wy, DĂ©jĂ  vu. Subject drinking beer and tossing cans in parking lot. Made him pick up the cans.
7-25….29xx NE 178. Caller heard crying and yelling from house. Police found it’s a group home and young female resident doesn’t like to wake up and get dressed.

Oops
7-20….19651 47 NE, park. Tennis players nearly got their car locked inside the park.
7-22….Towne Centre. Window, broken from inside. Worker cleaning ducts at Honey Bear accidentally broke a window.

7-6…..195xx 38 NE. Party, racing cars on street. Quiet when police arrived.
7-6…..160xx 30 NE. Party, backyard bonfire. Warned.
7-6…..185xx 30 NE. Juveniles playing paintball in backyard. Next-door neighbor worried about his pregnant wife and 3-year-old son being hit in their backyard. Juveniles promised not to play when 3 year old is outside, but neighbor not satisfied.
7-6..…181xx 33 NE. Caller said van had been parked on street for five weeks. Owner said they move it every day but neighbor just doesn’t want it parked there even though it’s not in front of his house.
7-8…..181xx 33 NE. Neighbor called again about van on street. This time claimed it was blocking his visibility.
7-11….40xx NE 195. Loud music.
7-12….174xx 47. Caller captured neighbor’s peacock in caller’s back yard. Said it is noisy and messy. Owner told to contain it or it has to go.

7-6…..17000 Bothell Wy, Arco. Welfare check requested for Arco station. No one at station and cars are lining up. Apparently evening manager locked up and left early.
7-6…..36xx NE 155. Person cut himself with samurai sword while training. Not pleased that police responded with aid workers.
7-9…..40xx NE 178. Teenaged girl, home alone, parents on vacation. Neighbor heard her screaming, and slapping sounds. Police found that her boyfriend was there and they were playing. Girl very embarrassed.

Here’s a clue: if you give someone access to your house, either turn off the alarm or give them the code
7-6…..187xx 23 NE. Alarm. Police and fire responded. House is empty and for sale. Real estate agent tripped the motion sensor.

7-12….Woman has panic alarm on key fob. 4 year old set it off by mistake.

7-6…..174xx Ballinger. Traffic stop. Driver has warrant for DUI. Was in custody but was bailed out of Seattle. County advising that as of July 1 there are no more meets with LFP. Booking to King Co jail.
7-9…..149xx Bothell. Driving With License Suspended.
7-10....168xx Bothell. Driving With License Suspended. Trip permit violation. Interlock devise required. No insurance. Cited, released, car towed.
7-12….NE 170/Beach Dr. Driving With License Suspended.

Teenagers – just remember how cute they were when they were babies
7-6…..34xx NE 184.  Father and 16 year-old son fight over chores.  Son says he’s leaving and takes off. Does not drive or take the bus. Advised father to call back if son did not return. Father did not call back.
7-6…..Towne Centre, Sally Beauty. Two girls, repeat shoplifters. Gone when police arrive. Advised staff to call as soon as they show up so they can be caught or Trespassed.
7-10….193xx 35 NE. 10-12 year olds. Girl and two male friends. One boy screaming obscenities. Police told them to stop.
7-10…..Towne Centre. Man asked for help with 15 year old son. Disrespectful. Attitude. In counseling and on meds for bipolar. Police took him home.
7-12….45xx Shore Dr. Skateboarders.

And you thought soap operas were far-fetched?
7-6…..190xx Lago Pl NE. Caller reports suspicious vehicle parked with people in it smoking. It left, then returned. Police found scantily clad woman walking up street toward vehicle. She has a warrant for prostitution. Driver is Driving With License Suspended. Male passenger is owner of vehicle, drunk. Gave permission to search vehicle. Found crack cocaine pipe. Citations for DWLS and drug paraphernalia. Seattle police arrived and took custody.
7-7…..202xx 33 NE. 911 call with screaming in background, woman yelling “I’m going to knock you out.” Hung up phone. History of domestic violence at address. Police call back, spoke to woman who said that 20 year old daughter was “out of control.” 4 adults and 2 grandchildren in home. Daughter has one month old baby and may have post partum. Daughter threw a bottle of water on her father and alleged he hit her and the baby. No signs of trauma. Daughter changed story.
7-10…..174xx Brookside. Two people stole Boston Terrier and drove off. Husband in pursuit. Driver said she was taking dog to vet because she found it running in the road with no collar.

Sad
7-9…..54xx NE 198 Pl. 18 year old, brain-injured child out of control. Helped parents restrain daughter and took her and mom to Evergreen.
7-9…..50xx NE 197. Assist with aggressive and agitated 80 year old patient. She bites. Dual call to fire and police. Fire had her under control, so no assist needed.

Still the 4th of July for some
7-7… Police station. Citizen brought in a baggie of model car rockets. He was escorted outside and King County Sheriff’s Office explosives unit called in.
7-9…..35xx NE 190 Pl. 8 people with fireworks. Warned.

Not quite right
7-7…..169xx Bothell Wy. Suspicious female in bushes. She took a short-cut.
7-7…..167xx 32 NE. Shots heard at Grace Cole Park. Told to call 911 the next time.
7-8…..182xx Ballinger. Man and dog at vacant home. Man hired by realtor to clean the house.
7-10….190xx 35 NE. Citizen asked for welfare check for elderly woman who appeared to be lost. Police couldn’t find her.
7-11…..145xx Edgewater Ln. Man screaming on Burke-Gilman Trail.

Officer Friendly
7-8…..Police station. Visitor got lost and ended up in Briar. Briar police gave him courtesy ride to LFP. LFP police took him to the house where he was visiting.
7-8…..26xx NE 195. Police standby while woman, recently separated from husband, picks up kids and moves her things out of the house.

Officer Unfriendly
7-11….170xx 25 NE. Citizen called for police to pick up dead cat on city easement. Not happy when told that it would have to be Public Works on a weekday. Told he could pick it up. Not happy.

Crash bang
7-8…..Ballinger/Bothell Wy. Traffic accident. One driver has head and neck injuries.

Rite-Aid should sell driver training
7-8…..Towne Centre. Possible DUI. Woman driving erratically, not staying in lane, backed up and nearly hit things. Police stopped her. She had just dropped husband at Rite Aid and was driving around, trying to quiet infant grandchild.
7-12….Police station. Citizen followed driver to Rite Aid, then reported a possible DUI. Police found she was not drunk just a really bad driver.

Inter-jurisdictional departmental reciprocity
7-8…..145/Bothell. Seattle had a DUI but got a pursuit call. Asked LFP to take over the DUI. Returned from pursuit and took him back.
7-9…..Aurora Village, Office Max. Assist Shoreline. Driver is huffing cans of air. Followed to location in Mountlake Terrace.

Crime
7-9…..170xx 37 NE. Car stolen.
7-9…..Towne Centre. Shoreline man parked on upper level had tires slashed.
7-12….160xx Beach Dr. Opened Comcast account under caller’s name,  different address.

Maybe crime
7-9…..167xx 45 NE. Mail box lid open and no mail in box.
7-11….204xx 33 NE. Pen, ink graffiti.
7-11….47xx NE 204. Woman called about two men on the street checking out the cars. Husband went to chase them off. Police picked up adult males and one juvenile.
7-11….36xx NE 155. Fired employee still returns to see friends. May be responsible for malicious mischief damages. Told to call when she returns and they will Trespass her.

6-21….170th/Bothell Wy. Failure to stop at sign. Parents rushing sick child to Children’s. Warning.
6-23….35xx NE 147. Driving while license suspended.

Crash Bang and potential Crash Bang
6-21….170/Bothell. 2 car accident. Whiplash victim transported to hospital.
6-22….165.Bothell. Construction crew hit a power pole and knocked out power to traffic light. People were running the intersection.
6-23….170/Bothell. Bus / car collision. No injury.
6-24….169/Bothell. Driver fell asleep and ran into a rockery. The rockery won.

6-26….44xx NE 185. 911 hang up. Cops concerned because caller had history of suicide attempt. Contacted caller who said she was calling sister with 910 area code and invited cops to come visit to see she was ok.

6-27….194xx 37. 911 call. Phone line open. Sounds like a party.

Sinister people, noisy people
6-21….145/Bothell. Subject was in car at side of road, texting before work.
6-21….Towne Centre. Woman and man yelling at each other. Checked ID. She was cooperative but took off before the report came back that she had a reckless driving warrant from Shoreline and theft from Mercer Island.
6-23….167xx 39th. Guy said he was a City Light meter reader, but wearing no ID. Checked all the houses but the one where the woman was watching him. He got snarky when she asked him to show ID.
6-24….34xx NE 147. 2 homeless people sleeping in car. Woman has job but used oxy and slept through her shift.
6-25….39 NE/Bothell. Man and woman walking in transit lane and punching each other. She was hitting him with her sandals. Got on bus before police arrived. Could be transients.
6-26….165/Burke Gilman Trail. Subject sleeping in grass by garbage can next to Trail. Said he was sleeping it off after a big night of drinking.

The Lonely Cars Club
6-21….Shoreline Customer Response Team (CRT) relayed a report of a car parked over 72 hours. The address is in Shoreline, the street is in Lake Forest Park.
6-21….54xx NE 180. Complaint about cars parked on both sides of narrow, dead end street. Police found that cars are parked legally.
6-24….185xx 30 NE. Abandoned car.
6-25….187xx 53 NE. Neighbor complained about cars parking for garage sale. No violations.

Why the police counter has bullet-proof glass
6-21. Station. Subject claims there are items missing from her home (Xbox, computer) and she has a suspect, because he left her a message telling her that if she didn’t pay for the dirt bike she bought from him, he’d take it back. Subject appears to have mental issues. No indication an actual crime occurred.
6-23…. Telephone. Dirt bike lady called. Rambling. Wants to talk to a cop. Attempted to call her back but no answer.

It’s not Art, people
6-21….Towne Centre. Graffiti in elevator.
6-22….171xx Bothell Wy. Graffiti in alley.
6-23….171xx Bothell Wy. Graffiti outside doorway.

Bunglers
6-21….155xx Bothell, apartment. Left window ajar while gone for the day. Bedroom ransacked.
6-24….34xx NE 147. Vacant house. Someone has been inside.

Shhhh!
6-22….Library. Subject angry about his bag of trash being thrown out by librarian. Yelled, threw trash can, followed employees outside after closing. Plan to Trespass him if he returns.
6-24….192xx Forest Park Dr. Unattended, locked vehicle with stereo blaring.

Don’t we have a leash law?
6-22….188xx 33 NE. 2 pit bulls running loose.
6-22….185xx 26 NE. 2-3 juveniles in maroon PTA Cruiser throwing eggs.
6-23….28xx NE 183. Person A is mad because neighbor B walks with dogs every morning. Dogs are off leash and chasing a Frisbee, barking and waking up Person A.
6-25….37 NE / NE 160-165. 2 boys skateboarding on street.
6-26….47 NE / NE 201. Jack the black Lab was wandering, scared and aggressive. Fed him Beggin’ strips and he got friendly. Found owners.

Family Drama
6-22….187xx 53rd NE. Grandmother doesn’t like her granddaughter’s boyfriend, so she wants the police to get back the car and furniture she gave to granddaughter. Also wants them to check out the boyfriend because she has a feeling about him. Police advised her it was a civil matter.
6-25….37xx NE 189 Pl. Mom consulted with cops about how to evict son with drug problems. Advised that she can’t prosecute him for theft because she previously gave him access to her accounts.
6-26….187xx 53 NE. Ongoing civil issue. Grandmother says granddaughter’s boyfriend is selling her property on eBay. The couple lives in her basement. GM upset that the small claims paperwork hadn’t been served on them yet.
6-26….Station. Harassment complaint. Person said that son and daughter had been served small claims papers by Grandmother. Civil matter but advised them to leave the furniture in the house and advise the court mediator.

6-25….160xx 33 NE. Car prowl. Stole duffle bag.
6-25….32xx NE 160. Car prowl. Stole GPS.

Ok, maybe
6-23….147xx Bothell. LaRouch supporter. Someone kicked his glass door and broke it. Thinks the attack was politically motivated.
6-27…..Station. Wallet turned in to Bremerton Naval Station that might relate to LFP stabbing.
6-27….30xx NE 182. Person asked for extra patrols because the lock had been taken off her back window and some bricks were on the ground that hadn’t been there before. Police found no sign of forced entry and the bricks had dirt and plants growing on them.

Death
6-23….162xx 37 NE. 24 year old male, died of suspected alcohol overdose.

Scary noises
6-23….47xx NE 187. Heard noises outside.
6-24….153xx Bothell, Market. Employee arriving at 4 am heard noises on roof. Later discovered two signs were missing from roof.
6-26….187xx 35 NE. Elderly man banging on residence door, asking if it was the LFP police. He arrived by bus and was looking for son’s house. Police gave him a ride.
6-27….185xx 37th. School staff person wanted to be walked to her car. Nervous because of LFP stabbing.

Petty thievery
6-27….170xx Bothell. Back pack stolen from bus stop.

Fire
6-27….192xx 35th Pl NE. Fire in residence. Police called to assist.

Unclassified
6-27….170xx Bothell. Customer upset that attendant wouldn’t give him change. Attendant can’t figure out how much customer was owed. Resolved before police arrive.
