LFP PTA Holiday Bazaar Saturday - 50 vendors

One of the longest-running and choicest holiday bazaars will take place this Saturday, December 6, from 9:30am to 4pm at Lake Forest Park Elementary School, 18500 37th Ave NE, Lake Forest Park 98155 (off Ballinger Way).

Fifty vendors will fill the school gymnasium with wonderful things to buy. Vendors are members of the school community, the community at large, and small commercial vendors. All are bright and colorful and many are unique.

The sponsoring PTA will raffle off door prizes donated by vendors.

Winterfest Community Craft Fair and Bake Sale Dec 6

Winterfest 2014 is for everyone! Join the fun on Saturday, December 6

Holiday shoppers are invited to join Cascade K-8 Community School for their annual Winterfest Community Craft Fair and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 6, 10am to 4pm. The event is held in the Cascade K-8/ Meridian Park Elementary Cafeteria at 17077 Meridian Ave N. in Shoreline.

Event organizers have changed the layout this year to make space for more crafters and vendors. Items offered will include homemade bath salts and health products, Star Wars and Dr. Who themed candy and gifts, woodworking crafts, bonsai trees, jewelry, handmade American girl clothes, delicious local treats and coffee, pet items, baby items, fine art, hand sewn holiday items, crafts made by local kids and more — gifts for everyone on your list!

Homemade baked goods and other treats will be offered at the Bake Sale and a gift wrapping and fancy bow station will be available so shoppers can take bows home with them or have gifts wrapped on the spot.

Artfest is the name given to the gallery of work by Cascade K-8 Students that will be on display during Winterfest.

Friends, neighbors, relatives … everyone is welcome to shop, visit, feast on baked goods, enjoy the art and be festive with Shoreline community the first Saturday in December.

The holiday shopping spirit was definitely present at the 10th Annual Crafts Market Saturday. A steady flow of people kept the vendors on their feet explaining the details of their merchandise. A no cost raffle was happening every 30 minutes which added to the excitement.

Items ranged from pastries by the King Schools to beautiful winter fleece hats by Kokopelli Hats. Considering that it was a beautiful Fall day with sunshine, the attendance and interest of the shoppers was surprising.

Toy Sale and Holiday Bazaar in Mill Creek Saturday

Many treasures for sale
The Just Between Friends gently used Toy Sale / Holiday Bazaar will be held at the Gold Creek Church in Mill Creek, 4326 – 148th St SE on Saturday, November 22, 8am – 3pm, when many items will be 50% off after 12 noon.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public, however shoppers are asked to bring canned food for the Mill Creek Food Bank and/or new socks for the Holly House that serves over 2,000 local children in Snohomish County a year.

Shoppers are welcome to attend the event to see what treasures they will find. In addition to toys, puzzles, books and games, the event will also be selling baby equipment, holiday clothing and decorations and even special sections called “Mommy Mart” and “Daddy Mart”.

Over 20 local vendors will be featuring their goods and services such as Frances Grace Salon, Scentsy and Thirty-One along with handmade items from Recreated Junk and Frame Fancy.

The annual Gentle Giving Fair is scheduled for Saturday from 10am to 4pm at the Richmond Beach Congregational Church at the corner of Northwest Richmond Beach Road and 15th Avenue Northwest,

This fair provides shoppers with the opportunity to donate to various charitable organizations in the name of individuals. In addition, there will be fair-trade products from around the world, as well as products made from recycled materials.

41st annual Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show in Edmonds Saturday and Sunday

The Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show celebrates 41 years of success when it opens on Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, from 10am to 5pm at the Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church, 8109 224th Ave SW, Edmonds. 425-778-0373.

More than 50 artists will have booths with beautiful gift items including pottery, fine art, photo cards, jewelry, clothing, purses, soaps, home décor, and gourmet foods.

Held throughout the church, the Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show opens to a lined-up crowd on Saturday mornings every year. Attendees are assured of finding interesting and one-of-a-kind items in a wide range of prices. 

The upstairs gallery with an inviting table of punch, coffee, tea, homemade cookies, and the historically popular cheese square appetizers, awaits those who want to see everything that is for
sale in the building.

Admission to the Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show is $3, which includes parking and complimentary childcare. The parking lot at Chase Lake Community School, 21603 84th Avenue W, in Edmonds will serve as additional parking with complimentary shuttle service offered all day on both Saturday and Sunday.

For the third year in a row, Sue Coccia of Earth Art International has loaned the image of one of her unique paintings to the Northwest Artists’ Holiday Show. “Christmas Elk is symbolic of what this show is all about,” said Nancy Press, the show’s co-chair. “Our show is like Sue’s art – so many colorful items pulled together in one place to create beauty.”

The annual Holiday Bazaar, held at the Shoreline-LFP Senior Center, will usher in the holiday shopping season October 31 and November 1 with over 20 vendors selling their own handcrafted items.

The Center’s Handcrafters will have a special Seahawk Table this year: Go Hawks!

Enjoy bake sale goodies as you find treasures in the Bargain Corner or rummage sale (with really good stuff!).

The Silent Auction is a great place to find some very special, unique gifts for the folks on your shopping list.

Snacks and lunch will be provided by Kitchen Corner Catering both days.


Volunteer help is always appreciated for this big event. This year, volunteers are needed to help with set up in the silent auction area on Thursday, October 30 as well as at the end of the day on November 1 to help with the closing. Warm up with local artisans at Winterfest this Saturday

Shoreline shoppers will have a great opportunity to buy from local craftspeople  right in Meridian Park this weekend.

Cascade K-8 Community School will be hosting its annual Holiday Gift and  Craft Extravaganza this Saturday, December 7th from 10am until 4pm in the cafeteria of the campus shared by Cascade K-8 and Meridian Park Elementary at 17077 Meridian Ave N, Shoreline 98133. The cafeteria is behind the main school building. Admission is free. 

In addition to vendors selling vintage, hand-crafted and new items, there will  also be music performances at 1pm by Cascade's extra-curricular music class and 1:30pm by the Jazz Band. A display of artwork done by students from Cascade K-8 called Artfest will be part of the event. A raffle of items donated by the vendors is expected to be one of the highlights of the occasion -- many vendors have donated this year. Baked goods will be available for purchase at Winterfest while supplies last. Community members are invited to come on down to shop, relax, eat and enjoy the festivities. 

Some items expected to be sold this year are handmade tree skirts, screen printed shirts, Norwex green cleaning supplies, Crayons, Bath and Body Items, Jewelry, Silk Scarves, Christmas Decor, Fine Art, Crochet, Beadwork, Handmade Hair Ties and Headbands, Canning Jar Travel Mugs, Doll Clothes to fit 18" American Girl Dolls, Felt Campfire Kits, Chalkboard Items, Memory Boxes, Gift Boxes, Paper Crafts, Stella and Dot Jewelry and Children's Items.

Cascade K-8's Winterfest is Coming Saturday, December 7

An annual tradition at Cascade K-8 Community School, Winterfest is an ever-popular, holiday craft bazaar, bake sale, music performance and all-out festival that has grown bigger every year.  Winterfest will be open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in the cafeteria of the campus shared by Cascade K-8 and Meridian Park Elementary at 17077 Meridian Ave N, Shoreline 98133. The cafeteria is behind the main school building.

Vendors will provide a wonderland of vintage, new and hand-crafted items, including: Crayons, Bath and Body Items, Jewelry, Silk Scarves, Christmas Decor, Fine Art, Crochet, Beadwork, Handmade Hair Ties and Headbands, Canning Jar Travel Mugs, Doll Clothes to fit 18" American Girl Dolls, Felt Campfire Kits, Chalkboard Items, Memory Boxes, Gift Boxes, Children's Items, Paper Crafts, Stella and Dot Jewelry, and items by vendors still to register.

The public is invited to come and shop and enjoy the fun. Admission is free.

Cascade's extra-curricular music class will perform at 1pm and the CK8 Jazz Band will perform at 1:30pm. A bake sale will be held throughout the festival as long as supplies last. There will also be a raffle of items donated from the participating vendors.

Space is still available for those who want to sell something. People with questions and prospective vendors are asked to contact Cascade K8 Winterfest.
