Food trucks return to Richmond Beach

The wildly popular Food Truck Wednesdays event will be back in Richmond Beach on August 23 and 30 and September 6.

You can expect two dinner trucks and a dessert truck each night, plus live music from some of the area’s top bands. The trucks will be located in the lower parking lot of Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, 2021 NW 190th St, Shoreline 98177.

Enjoy your food and join the band at the upper shelter above the parking lot for a family-friendly beach party co-sponsored by Richmond Beach Community Association and the City of Shoreline.

The Echo Lake Neighborhood Association is staging its first ever Party in the Park with food trucks, live music, and robots from Shorewood's Team Pronto.

Ride up the Interurban Trail, kayak across the lake, walk, or take a bus, and have dinner in the park while listening to great music and watching the robots.

Nosh The Truck is coming to Ridgecrest on Memorial Day, Monday May 29.

They will be parked from 5-9pm outside Ridgecrest Pub, which is 21 and over. But families and other pub no-goers can use nearby picnic tables to dine out at.

Nosh is one of the best known food trucks in the Seattle area, with more than one local food critic calling theirs the best fish and chips in Seattle, which is saying a lot.

Bread and Circuses focuses on gastropub eats, including the “Circus Burger” – bone marrow bun, 70/30 house ground beef, provel cheese, crisp bacon, arugula, pickled red onion and three pepper cider aioli. Bring it on!



My Sweet Lil’ Cakes, a “50s themed mobile food diner,” specializes in hotcakes stuffed with sweet and savory ingredients and served up on a stick with dipping sauces. Yum!

A weekend of parties for Lake Forest Park

Lake Forest Park has a weekend of parties September 10 - 11.

On Saturday, the City is sponsoring a big party in Pfingst Animal Acres Park, 17435 Brookside Blvd NE, Lake Forest Park 98155.

Bring family and friends to join the City in celebrating Lake Forest Park’s Community for Picnic in the Park from 10am to 3pm at Animal Acres Park. Community Partners of the City will be setting up booths with information and fun activities. Look for Bouncy Houses, Kids Crafts, Fire Truck, Public Works Big Rigs and a Petting Zoo.

Food truck participants will be: Mobile Mayan, Cathouse Pizza and Moonie Icy Tunes!

Pack a blanket or low chair to sit on and enjoy the concerts: Tim Noah, Pig Snout and Hotel Vignette!

Walking to Animal Acres is encouraged but parking will be available at Brookside Elementary School and the Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church off of NE 178th St.

On Sunday, from 10am to 4pm, Lake Forest Park Rotary is celebrating its 30th Anniversary at the Farmers' Market with non-stop musical acts and Lake Forest Park Police are holding their annual Salmon Bake and raffle.

The second of three Wednesdays of food trucks in Richmond Beach happens August 31. Last week's family friendly beach party was wildly popular, and you can expect more adventures in eating and fun music this week!

Choose  scrumptious fare from two dinner trucks and a dessert truck in the lower parking lot, then move to the upper shelter to enjoy your food while listening to live music. Come early to avoid lines and walk if possible (parking is limited).

Nosh fish 'n chips

The signature dish of Nosh is their British Fish 'n Chips, which is some of the very best in Seattle. Fancy something different, then try the "Seattle Fried Rabbit"--confit rabbit hind quarters cooked to order and served with braised red cabbage with granny smith apples, potato frites and sea salt -- a hometown favorite.

Hallava Falafel

Hallava Falafel offers a focused menu of falafel, shawarma and Middle Eastern fries. Falafel Sandwich: Homemade crispy falafel served with a Russian red relish, spinach and cabbage mix, tzatziki or tahini sauce, wild Armenian pickle, and served in a warm pocketless pita.

Here’s your chance to eat well and do good. World Concern’s Mobile Food Fight for Hunger returns Sunday, August 28, from 11am to 4pm in Shoreline on the CRISTA Ministries Campus, 19303 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline 98133.

The event brings together 12 food trucks to serve up the best of Seattle’s mobile food offerings and donate a portion of their proceeds from the day to fight global hunger.

World Concern feeds hungry families in some of the world’s poorest countries, like South Sudan, Chad, Haiti, and Bangladesh by providing emergency food during times of crisis, and training and tools for families to grow their own sustainable sources of food.

Every purchase at the Mobile Food Fight for Hunger supports World Concern’s food security programs and helps ensure malnourished children can grow strong and healthy, and parents can feed their families long-term.

The family-friendly event features 12 food trucks, live music, lawn games, and the chance to make a difference in the lives of those in greatest need.

Remember back in May when the food truck rodeo was such a huge hit on opening day at the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market? Well, the rodeo is back in town this Sunday from 10-3pm!

Yes, the LFP Farmers Market is ramping up for another exciting day of delicious, mobile delicacies to suit all tastes. From familiar, down home comfort food to exotic fusion originals, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

Here’s the full list of food trucks scheduled for the day:

Of course, the market will also be chock full of all your regular favorites like Vespucci Pizza, Patty Pan, Drummin’ Up Wontons, Whidbey Island Ice Cream, and Seattle Pops! Plus more fresh produce, meat, eggs, and cheese than you can shake a carrot stick at! So whether you’re hankering for something spicy, sweet, or simply delicious, you’re sure to find it at the market.

As a special bonus, the drummers of Seattle Kokon Taiko will drop by for a stirring performance from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Taiko are Japanese drums that play a vital role in many Japanese folk arts and taiko performances offer an exhilarating combination of drumming and movement it that is deeply rooted in Japanese folklore. You won’t want to miss this thrilling performance!

The LFP Farmers Market is presented by Third Place Commons, a community-supported 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering real community in real space. The market is open from 10am to 3pm every Sunday through October 16th and takes place in the parking lot of LFP Town Center adjacent to City Hall at the intersection of Bothell Way NE and Ballinger Way NE.

Food Trucks will come back to Richmond Beach on Wednesdays, August 24 and 31 and September 7

After the wild popularity of last year’s event, the neighborhood is bringing in two dinner trucks and a dessert truck each night, plus live music from some of the area’s top bands.

Food Truck Wednesdays are co-sponsored by Richmond Beach Community Association and the City of Shoreline's Office of Economic Development.

The trucks open up at 5:00pm and keep serving to 8:00pm. They will be located in the lower parking lot of Richmond Beach Saltwater Park, 2021 NW 190th Street.

Twelve of Seattle’s top trucks, with a wide variety of food, will rally at World Concern’s headquarters in Shoreline on Sunday, August 28 from noon to 4pm at 19303 Fremont Ave N, Shoreline 98133 for the World Concern's Mobile Food Fight for Hunger.

Feel good about what you spend on gourmet street food, knowing you are helping fight global hunger with your purchase.

Some of Seattle’s best (and nationally acclaimed) mobile eateries will be serving; from Where Ya At Matt’s New Orleans-style creole, to delectable sweet frybread from Off the Rez. There’s everything from British grub by Nosh to sticky BBQ from Wood Shop BBQ and gourmet grilled cheese by Cheese Wizards.

There will be activities for the kids, including a climbing wall.

The event benefits World Concern’s sustainable agriculture programs which help lift individuals and families out of poverty in Africa, Asia, and Haiti.

The Ridgecrest Public House at 5th NE and NE 165th sponsors food trucks outside their business every day of the week.

Those over 21 are welcome to bring their food inside the Pub to eat. And you can take in a movie at the Crest after you eat.

When the weather gets reliably better, outdoor seating will be available.

Monday July 18th: Anchor End Pretzel Shoppe
Hearty sandwiches served on gourmet pretzels.

Tuesday July 19th: Here and There Grill
Hearty sandwiches, salads and soups

Wednesday July 20th: Napkin Friends
Soups, sandwiches, salads

Thursday July 21st: The Peach and The Pig
Pulled pork, grilled chicken, or mushroom sandwiches, meatballs and mushrooms, prawn salad, beer.

Friday July 22nd: Streetzeria
Italian food, salads, salads on flatbread, 11 different pizzas

Saturday July 23rd: Seoul Kitchen
Korean food

Sunday July 24th: Charlies Buns N Stuff
Cheesesteaks and burgers, organic
