Outdoor family festival offers the closest experience to Blues’ Seafair Takeoffs
SEATTLE, July 28, 2022—The Museum of Flight’s annual Jet Blast Bash outdoor flightline festival, is the closest event to the Blue Angels’ dynamic takeoffs and landings for the Boeing Seafair Air Show August 6-7, 2022.

And after their performance in the Air Show, the Blue Angels pilots will be at Jet Blast Bash to greet the visitors and sign autographs. Plus, The Blue Angels new F/A-18 Number 8 Super Hornet will be on view at the festival all weekend. This family weekend event runs from 10am – 4pm and features fast planes, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and family activities.

Museum admission is required, granting full access to the galleries (open 9am to 5pm on August 6-7), special indoor presentations and the Museum’s new exhibit, The Walt Disney Studios and World War II.

C89.5 DJs on-site will be broadcasting a high-energy soundtrack, plus live music by The Afterparty. Brian Shul, legendary SR-71 pilot, will be available for meet n' greets and gives his famous presentation both days.

Jet Blast Bash has become the Museum’s most popular family festival, complete with bouncy houses. The event also features nearly two dozen Chevy Corvettes of all vintages, plus representatives from dozens of community partners with clubs and museums focused on planes, trains, automobiles and ships. Inside of the Museum there are more events and presentations about the history of the Blue Angels.

The Planes Exclusively at Jet Blast Bash
In addition to the new Blue Angels Super Hornet, a rare World War II AT-19 aircraft is being flown to the Museum for the weekend.

WWII Stinson AT-19
This World War II-vintage Stinson AT-19 is the military version of the Stinson Reliant, which was a popular luxury plane of the day. The AT-19 was used mainly as a small transport for cargo and personnel. This particular plane flew for England’s Royal Navy in the East Indies during the war, and is now based in Auburn, Wash. and part of the Rainier Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force.

Blue Angels Number 8 F/A-18 Super Hornet
This Blue Angels F/A-18 Super Hornet is assigned to the team’s event coordinator, Number 8. The plane is not normally flown in air show performances, but can be used if-needed.

A wonderful day at the 2022 Old Dog Haven Festival

All photos by Wayne Pridemore

We had a truly wonderful day on July 16, 2022 at Cromwell Park in Shoreline!

Many thanks to our dedicated Board of Directors for organizing this amazing event and to all the volunteers, sponsors, donors and attendees who made it such a success.

We have not been able to gather (in person) to celebrate old dogs for two years and our Board wanted to put together something very special to honor our dogs and all our wonderful supporters.

Jimmy Buffett groupies!
They decided to change it up this first year back and have a Festival to celebrate being together and being able to provide homes for senior dogs in need.

The event was a tremendous success! We had nearly 500 people in attendance and far surpassed our fundraising goals.

"Pie" with companion Dawn Ford
Dawn owns The Barkery - a food truck for dogs
and created all the recipes for the treats

There were a variety of carnival games/events, tasty food trucks, lots of vendors with samples, an amazing silent auction, and a marvelous collection of old (and young) dogs and their humans.

"Penny' with her lick artwork tile

Our sincere thanks to all those who made this happen and all who attended to support old dogs!

Celebrate Shoreline Aug 13 - 18

Sunday, August 11, 2019

2019 marks the 24th birthday of the City of Shoreline. The annual Celebrate Shoreline event commemorates this landmark of the City’s incorporation with activities designed to spark celebration and community spirit.

The celebration takes place over multiple days and venues to encourage community participation.

With each year, Celebrate Shoreline reflects the celebration of pride the community has in its Cityhood.

From local arts organizations and neighborhood associations, to area businesses and individual volunteers, Celebrate Shoreline happens because strong community partnerships come together to show their support for their Shoreline neighbors.

Highlights of 2019 Celebrate Shoreline attractions are as follows:

The North City Jazz Walk will be held Tuesday, August 13 for its 13th year of live jazz music in multiple venues throughout the North City Business District. The Jazz Walk is sponsored by the North City Neighborhood Association, the North City Business Association and the Shoreline Lake Forest Park Arts Council.

The Shoreline Lake Forest Park Arts Council will host Correo Aereo at 6:30pm at Kruckeberg Botanic Garden on Wednesday, August 14th for an evening of music in the garden.

The Celebrate Shoreline Car Show will once again be held at the Shoreline Farmers Market at Shoreline Place. Both the Shoreline Historical Museum and the Farmer’s Market are excited to continue their partnership at this year’s event at 10:00am on Saturday, August 17th.

The Celebrate Shoreline Festival on Saturday, August 17th at Cromwell Park will start at noon and include popular pony rides, the petting zoo, live theater, two music stages, inflatables, roving entertainment, a photo booth, a beer and wine garden, and food trucks offering several varieties of food. The successful toy workshop addition last year is back due to popular demand.

And returning for a third year, the Celebrate Shoreline Festival main stage will showcase three community groups sharing their culture through music and dance.

The City will again host the Celebrate Shoreline Main Stage Concert later into the evening of the main Festival with the beer and wine garden available for all festival goers over 21. Local bands Geoffrey Castle, Chikiri, Smokey Brights and Rolling Stones Concert Experience will play the Main Stage Concert.

This year's Top 11 reasons you need to be at BrewFest

Thursday, August 1, 2019

Environmentally responsible tickets

This year's Top 11 reasons you need to be at BrewFest

11. You can FINALLY have a good answer to the question “how was your weekend? on Monday morning. Because this event is AWESOME!!

10. Pretzel necklaces. Just because kids can’t come doesn’t mean you have to accessorize like a grownup. Wearing snacks around your neck is totally fashion forward here.

9. TShirts are back. We will have a limited number of tshirts available for sale; if you have started a collection, you’ll definitely want this one!

Silent auction items - guitar
and a Steve Largent signed jersey

8. The silent auction. Mike Brown Productions is back with some fantastic stuff. One of only two reasons to bring extra funds. Go home with something, knowing that all proceeds go directly to NUHSA.

7. Live music. The best parties have real musicians providing the soundtrack to your day. We are excited to bring you The Mark DeFresne Band to round out your BrewFest.

6. Happy people. We’ve put in our order for sunshine, but even with our first rain last year, people had a blast. What could be better than friends and neighbors on a Saturday afternoon, experiencing great beer, good food, and live music together. If you're not smiling, we're very, very concerned about you.

5. Supporting neighborhoods. This event seeds next year's event, but also supports the four 4-corners neighborhoods. And a charity (the North Urban Human Services Alliance this year).

4. You get to vote, and it’s not political! Use colorful stickers instead of filling in circles, and talk up your favorite tastes to other BrewFesters! Influence rules!! Trophies go to brewers who run out of a beer first and have the most tokens, but the Golden Growler goes to the brewer who brings the Crowd Favorite. And none of that pesky waiting-for-returns... the Growler is awarded that night. Show your favorite brewer some love!

3. It's an all-inclusive ticket. A mere $35 gets you everything (drinks, food, AND entertainment) except auction items and tshirts, which means you don't have to shell out money at Taco Time on the way home, unless you promised your kids (or your dog) you would. .

2. No lines. This is the most intimate, lovely, local beer tasting event you will ever attend. Contrary to other, larger beer festivals, the 4-Corners BrewFest stays small. That means you can not only get served quickly, but you can also get to know who's pouring!

1. The Brewers and Their Beer! 192 Brewing, American Brewing Company, Bad Jimmy's Brewing Co., Diamond Knot, Downpour Brewing, Elliott Bay Brewing Company, Gallaghers' Where-U-Brew, Georgetown Brewing, Hellbent Brewing, Hemlock State Brewing, Monka Brewing Co., North Sound Brewing, Ram, The – Northgate, Salish Sea Brewing, Schilling Cider, Watts Brewing Company... We love their support and we love their brews!

Visit the BrewFest page for more information, including volunteer links and ticket sales.
