5-27  Shoplifter at Aurora Safeway caught with ten glass bottles of Twin Brook milk.
5-29  Two intoxicated males arrested at Echo Lake Park on misdemeanor warrants.
5-30  Man in Echo Lake Park after hours arrested on theft warrant.
5-30  Driver stopped at 155th and Dayton for expired tabs had an outstanding warrant and was in possession of counterfeit bills.
5-30  Driver passed out behind wheel of vehicle in Aurora McDonalds parking lot arrested for DUI.
5-31  Woman at 165th and Aurora at 1:15am arrested for prostitution charges from Seattle.
5-31  Police made contact with a person in the parking lot by Shari's at 1:45am and found he had an outstanding warrant and was in possession of meth.
5-31  Vandalism to Shoreline Historical Museum
5-31  Theft from vehicle parked on Whitman - sunglasses and steering wheel lock taken.
5-31  Residential burglary 193xx 20th Ave NW - jewelry stolen.
5-31  Car prowl in Y parking lot. Three cars had windows smashed and things taken, including a credit card that was then used at Fred Meyer. Fred Meyer has video of three suspects.
5-31  Residential burglary NW 175th Pl.
5-31  Two guys got into a fight as part of a road rage incident; one had a night stick.
5-31  Residential burglary 6xx N 182nd, took jewelry and laptop.
5-31  Detached garage broken in to at 16xx N 167 and multiple bins of clothing and household goods taken.
5-31  Missing person located at Richmond Beach QFC and returned to his psychiatric residence.
6-1    Vehicle with expired plates over 45 days was towed. Owner was not pleased.
6-2    Man walking in Boeing Creek park was assaulted.
6-2    Tool shed on construction site at 1201 N175th was burglarized.
6-2    Victim receiving phone calls from insurance companies claiming she was involved in an accident - but she wasn't.
6-2   Woman shoplifts cleaning supplies and baby formula from Walgreens at 145th.
6-4   Two men who had been drinking were Trespassed from Echo Lake Park after getting into an altercation with park department employee at 9:42pm.
6-4    Residential burglary at 152xx 8th NE.
6-5    A Chrysler crashed into another vehicle at 6xx NE 165th and the occupants fled. A few moments later, the registered owner called to report the car stolen.
6-5    Computer stolen from Blue Star Auto on Aurora.

Domestic violence, abuse, assaults on family members, family fights, suicide attempts during the week:

  • Mental abuse and financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
  • Patient in rehab facility punches his wife.
  • Caller thinks ex-sister-in-law is hanging out around her house in violation of court order.
  • 18 year old reported that her mother assaulted her.
  • Verbal argument between two male roommates.
  • Caller reported that family members were fighting but they denied assault.
  • Disturbance between two juvenile friends - one pulls a knife on the other.
  • Suicide attempt.
  • Caller is being contacted through email in violation of a court order.
  • Attempted suicide by 'huffing' canned air.
  • Involuntary commitment for suicide threats.
  • Child visitation dispute between parents.
  • Assist to CPS for possible abuse of 3 year old by father.
  • Family disturbance.
  • Son struck his father twice in the head with an aluminum bat, booked for aggravated assault.
  • Person booked into jail for suspected domestic violence assault.

Family disturbances, shoplifting, graffiti in public places, counterfeit money. Problems with patients in institutions assaulting caregivers.

4-9  Suicidal, delusional woman at 4-Corners business telling people she wanted to die. Located by police and taken for involuntary commitment.
4-9  Police called for assist with combative 70 year old woman at Shoreline Rehab.
4-9  Resident makes disturbance and insists that police execute him. Involuntary commitment to hospital.
4-11 Highway robbery - four males confront and rob four other males outside the Little Store on Richmond Beach Rd.
4-11 Lost dementia patient from N 103rd found in Richmond Beach and returned home.
4-11 Woman walking down the middle of Aurora, resisted when police were trying to detain her. Involuntary commitment to hospital.
4-12  Attempted residential burglary at 145xx 1st Ave NE. Tried to cut screens and open windows - bathroom, bedroom, and rear window, and finally fled on foot.
4-16  Forced entry burglary at 192xx Meridian, stole cash and firearm.

Selected items from the Shoreline Police Blotter, week ending 4-11-2016.

4-2  Several officers responded to a report of shots fired near apartment on 9xx N 198th. When they knocked on the door, it was answered by a convicted felon / registered sex offender with a gun in his hand. Investigation revealed it was a Beretta replica BB gun.
4-3  License plate stolen from Carter Subaru spotted on vehicle in traffic stop in Lynnwood but suspect fled in vehicle.
4-3  Man with makeshift knife kicking over trash cans outside Fireside Homes on Midvale and threatening to "cut people". Told police they should have shot him and he was going to kill the man who raped him. Taken to hospital on involuntary commitment.
4-3  Found Harborview wheelchair in women's restroom at Paramount School Park during regular park check.
4-4  Man reported his vehicle stolen. It was found outside his ex-girlfriend's residence in Shoreline.
4-4  Police stopped a suicidal man from jumping from the I-5 overpass at 145th.
4-4  Intoxicated persons in altercation on Interurban Trail near McDonalds. One was stabbed and the aggressor is in custody.
4-6  Man called in threats to police - from public phone in front of station.
4-6  Man who was high on drugs or alcohol dancing in front of Lovers Packet, creating a disturbance, and refusing to leave. Arrested on outstanding warrants.
4-7  Intruders at St. Marks Catholic church ransacked the entire office building and carried away a small cash and check safe.
4-10  Woman stopped for running a red light was arrested for DUI. While in holding cell she started hitting her head on the sink and yelling she wanted to die. Taken to hospital on involuntary commitment.

Reported week ending 3-28-2016

3-18  Cash found at 192nd and Corliss.
3-18  Two men, driving a small black vehicle with distinctive rims, attempted to break into home at 180xx 11th NW.
3-18  Burglary at 170xx 10th NW.
3-19  Five people were arrested for tagging at Ace in the Hole at 147xx Aurora. Witness will not assist in prosecution.
3-19  Storage manager at Aurora Storage 17828 Midvale interrupted a car prowler who escaped by jumping the fence - but left his backpack behind.
3-20  Person wearing a motorcycle helmet implied possession of a weapon and robbed the Ballinger Chevron at 20010 Ballinger.
3-20  Person sent Shorecrest security officer a threat to his cell phone, saying he was going to hurt people at school.
3-20  Person was selling a (stolen) car to a local teen. When the teen wanted his money back the person attacked him with a bat and a screwdriver.
3-21  Shoplifter who stole a $40 powerpak from Sears had six outstanding misdemeanor warrants. Tried to hand him off to King County jail but they declined because shoplifter had an abscess on leg.
3-21  Picked up person with four misdemeanor warrants near Fred Meyer.
3-23  Driver who had been drinking caused a 3-car collision on Ballinger, ran from police and lied when caught.
3-24  B and Y auto repair shop at 1116 N 165th burglarized.
3-27  Tagger hit Echo Lake and Twin Ponds restrooms, Sunset School Park, Richmond Highlands Park, and bus shelter at 155th and Meridian.
3-28  Tagging at Shoreline LDS Church.

Reported week ending 4-4-2016

3-22  Residential burglary 5xx N 202nd St.
3-27  Victim's vehicle was stolen from church parking lot during evening Easter services.
3-28  Burglary 1xx NW Highland Dr.
3-28  Three juveniles tried to steal a lawnmower from 150xx 25th NE. When neighbor stopped them, they threatened him.
3-28  Burglar attempted to break into office in outbuilding in back yard 147xx 17th NE, but was interrupted by homeowner.
3-29  Victim received phone call from "IRS" threatening lawsuit for back taxes, so victim wired $3000. A different victim fell prey to a Craig's List scam and wired money.
3-30  Vehicle and tools stolen from unlocked maintenance shed in The Highlands.
3-30  Victim's credit card info used to buy a car in Texas - she still has the card.
3-31  18xx N 203rd Car prowler was interrupted and claimed he had a gun. Police brought in K9 but did not locate him.
4-1  Friends are at a restaurant when one takes meth, freaks out and starts attacking the others.
4-3  Couple receive verbal death threats from neighbor.

3-10  Resident on 200xx 24th Ave NE called to complain that a car was blocking his mailbox. Turned out to be a stolen vehicle.
3-11  Forced entry burglary on 170xx Dayton. Cash taken.
3-13  146xx 23rd NE staging furniture stolen from home for sale.
3-13  11xx N 198th homeowner responded to alarm on unsecured garage door and found a male, who ran as homeowner called 911.
3-13  192xx 20th NW skis stolen from unsecured garage.
3-13  Burglars smashed glass door at Darrell's Tavern to steal liquor.
3-14  Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church at 194th and Ashworth broken into, ransacked, and safe and cash stolen.
3-14 200xx NE 177th forced entry burglary.
3-14  8xx NW 175th forced entry burglary.
3-15  A/A Wireless on NE 165th burglarized and multiple cell phones taken.
3-15  Attempted burglary at 155xx Ashworth.
3-15  Shoplifter and burglary suspect arrested on drug warrants.
3-15  Found a missing Lynnwood resident at N 200th and Aurora.
3-16  Subject sent a paper shooting target to former employer after resigning in lieu of termination.
3-18  Resident reported someone filed income tax return under his name.
3-18  170xx 10th NW forced entry burglary.
3-18  Cash found in central Shoreline.
3-20  Chevron station on Ballinger Way robbed. Weapon implied.
3-20  Graffiti spray painted on LDS church at 30th NE.

Alcoholic Addendum
3-13  Driver in 2 car collision arrested for DUI
3-13  Driver arrested for hit and run, no license, DUI. Passenger arrested for obstruction and taken to hospital for detox.
3-13  Ten bottles of alcohol stolen from Darrell's Tavern.
3-14  Two drivers collided in dark intersection, one arrested for DUI.
3-14  Driver arrested for multiple infractions, including no interlock device.
3-14  Two suspects attempted to steal a bottle of Jack Daniels (value $44).
3-15  Person with mental issues exacerbated by alcohol taken for involuntary mental evaluation.
3-17  Driver arrested on Aurora for felony DUI.
3-19  Customer at Darrell's Tavern was cut off and started yelling and taking swings at people. No victims.
3-21  Person drinking Listerine at Aurora Village transit center taken to hospital for detox.

Shoplifting incidents at Sears, Home Depot, Fred Meyer, Thriftway, Safeway.

3-1  Someone broke the lock on the front door of Sylvia's Swimwear in Ballinger Village but was apparently scared off by the alarm.
3-5  Suicidal woman riding the bus at 185th and Aurora, wearing only bra and panties, was sent to hospital on an involuntary commitment.
3-5  Man with schizophrenia, off his meds, in traffic at 180th and Aurora waving a 7" bread knife, was sent on an involuntary commitment.
3-5  Stroller found abandoned at Paramount Park.
3-6  Elderly, drunk male making a scene at Aurora McDonalds had DUI warrants from Everett. Booked into King County jail.
3-7  Thief who stole car from driveway at 13xx N 155th got a bonus because there was a loaded handgun and ammo in the vehicle.
3-7  Forced entry to shed at 24xx NE 205th but nothing taken.
3-7  Burglary 192xx 11th NE - entry through locked garage. Took jewelry, money, and checked out medicine cabinets.
3-7  Shoplifter who had been Trespassed from Fred Meyer the day before for shoplifting will be charged with theft.
3-7  Illegal, ongoing dumping of trash along 148xx Stone Ave N.
3-7  Man shoplifted alcohol from Safeway, was caught driving away and charged with driving with no interlock device and a suspended license.
3-7  Man who was kicked out of cold weather homeless shelter at Prince of Peace church made threats to staff and was Trespassed.
3-8  Car stolen from Trader Joe's parking lot when driver left purse, with keys, in car.
3-10  Speaker stole from JoyBringers Church 145xx Westminster Way.
3-10  Forced entry to Korean BBQ at 15740 Aurora, nothing taken.
3-11  Sound and lighting equipment stolen from Trinity Presbyterian Church.
3-11  Bone and boots found under house, bone taken to Medical Examiner for investigation.
3-11  Resident found her stolen auto in a parking lot on N 165th.
3-12  Driver found slumped in vehicle with deployed air bag arrested for DUI.

Car prowls 204xx Dayton, 5xx N 200th, 21xx N 193rd, 201xx Dayton, 7xx N 200th, 201xx Fremont, 15xx 25th NE.
Different methods used on different days.


2-29  Man called 911, saying he had been given rat poison. Police went on an assist to Fire. Sent him to hospital on an involuntary commitment for mental evaluation.
2-29  Abandoned box truck blocking parking spaces at Twin Ponds Park.
2-29  Phone scammers convinced a woman she had won a Publishers Clearing House jackpot and got her to send them a check for $800.
2-29  Victim hired movers from Craig's List and they took things she didn't intend - jewelry, electronics.
3-1   Police called for possible domestic violence. Heard heated argument in apartment. Male refused to open door to police. They heard sounds of breaking glass inside and broke down the door. There was no assault, it was a heated verbal argument. Man arrested for obstructing an officer.
3-1  Son stole checks from father's construction business and wrote them to himself for $7700.
3-1  Victim had one vehicle broken into and the other stolen from 185xx Linden.
3-1  Unknown male walked in to Blue Bay Massage and stole the tv off the wall.
3-2  Found missing person while doing a Trespass from Home Depot. Person has been Trespassed from numerous Aurora Village businesses.
3-2  Residential burglary 16xx N 180th. Kicked in the back door and took a lot of items.
3-3  Electrical boxes stolen from construction site at 15xx NE 175th.
3-4  Mail theft from 7xx N 204th.
3-4  Phone scammer convinced resident that computer repairs were needed to fix Microsoft 10. Resident wired $2950 for "repairs".

Tagging on the rise this week. Five natural deaths. Two cases of items stolen from rented rooms. Vehicle prowls on the uptick. A lot of shoplifting.

2-19  Shoreline resident got caught by a phone scam and wired $1950 to China.
2-20  Storage unit at 14900 Aurora broken into and laptops and camera equipment stolen.
2-21  Two juveniles found camping at Bruggers Bog were listed as missing from Seattle.
2-21  Vehicle at Hamlin Park was broken into and purse stolen.
2-21  Individual was Trespassed from Shoreline Quiznos after injecting heroin and passing out in restroom.
2-21  Neighbors on 3rd NE are fighting over yard waste. One just accused the other of shining bright lights into his house and watching him with binoculars.
2-22  Vandal threw a rock through the window of the LDS Church on 30th NE.
2-22  Driver left car running in the parking at Aurora Village Market and the car was stolen.
2-23  Suspect entered vehicle parked at 2xx NE 203rd, unlocked hood and stole the battery.
2-23  Forged prescription pads used to obtain drugs from Richmond Beach Pharmacy.
2-23  Handgun dumped in front yard at 18xx N 203rd.
2-23  Shoreline resident found about twenty pieces of stolen mail; police took it to post office for redelivery.
2-24  Wedding and engagement ring stolen from home, estimated worth $7300.
2-25  Scammed on Craig's List. Sent $1200 to Belgium for a vehicle purchase in NC.
2-26  Victim scammed for $5600 for a car seen on Cars.com.
2-26  Home burglarized at 3xx NE 162nd via unlocked back door. Burglars gave McDonalds food to dog while they stole TV, money, and minivan.
2-28  Shoplifter at Central Market knocked out the loss prevention officer who was trying to detain him.

2-11  Residential burglary 185xx Ashworth. Forced open rear kitchen door and used victim's wheeled suitcase to load up jewelry, men's clothing, and shoes.
2-16  Residential burglary. Door of empty home kicked open. 21xx N 155th.
2-16  Unknown vehicle knocked down a set of locking mailboxes at 174xx 10th NE.
2-16  Residential burglary. Unknown method of entry. 8xx NW 165th.
2-17  Level 3 sex offender registered address at 197xx 21st NW.
2-17  Elderly Ethiopian woman who speaks only Amharic was lost in Shoreline. Reported missing from Lynnwood. She was returned to her family.
2-18  Unknown suspect used green Silly String to draw penis and testicles on victim's car.
2-18  Unknown female shoplifted a vibrator from Lovers Package and escaped on foot.
2-18  Five juveniles loaded three hand baskets and two backpacks with alcohol at Safeway and left without paying. Approximate value $1500.
2-19  Attempted residential burglary at 12xx N 173rd. Glass of front door broken with rock.
2-20  Window broken at Richmond Beach Library.
2-21  15 year old was driving his dad's car without permission and his 16 year old passenger had marijuana. Passenger was booked on three warrants. Car released to dad. Driver released to mom.

01-30  12 boxes of pistol ammunition were left in front yard at 3xx NE 158th.
01-30  Unknown suspects broke padlock to enter vacant house at 7xx N 201st posted "Do Not Occupy".
01-31  Car window smashed and purse taken from front seat of car parked at Boeing Creek Park.
02-01  Glass door kicked in at Taco Del Mar on N 205th.
02-02  Unknown suspect found a home with unlocked sun room and unlocked car and rummaged through both. 171xx Midvale.
02-02  Burglar entered home at 173xx Ashworth at 3:27am. Homeowner confronted burglar, fought him and threw him off the porch. Burglar dropped a bag with 6.5 ounces of heroin inside.
02-02  Locked mountain bike stolen from back yard at 3xx NE Serpentine.
02-02  Suspect jumped the counter of the Richmond Beach QFC Pharmacy and stole drugs.
02-03  A shoplift turned violent at A/A Wireless, 526 NE 165th and the shoplifter was chased out of the strip mall.
02-03  A refund check mailed to victim was never received, but was cashed.
02-03  A suspect at the Park Ridge nursing center on 145th confronted officers and attempted to grab a weapon. Tazered and booked into jail.
02-03  Burglar entered home by prying open second story window, 16xx NW 192nd.
02-03  Burglar stole laptop but ignored cash sitting in the open at 148xx 15th NE.
02-04  Car left running and unlocked in front of apartment at 22xx NE 198th Ct was stolen.
02-05  Police area check for a suspicious person at 8xx NE 170th found person with drugs and outstanding warrant.
02-05  Garage door spray painted and vehicle windshield and hood smashed with rocks at 152xx Fremont.
02-05  Burglar entered through unlocked kitchen window at 183xx Ashworth.
02-07  21xx block N 175th, driver arrested for DUI after car jumps curb and stops with front wheel on sidewalk and one flat tire.

Several suicide attempts and domestic violence this week.

1-22  Water collecting in back yard started seeping into the house. Homeowner discovered someone had stuffed the drain pipe with rags. 18xx NE 175th.
1-25  1xx NW 183rd residential burglary. Back patio glass shattered.
1-25  Woman stopped for pedestrian violation had two warrants and violation of a no contact order. Attempted to flee on foot and was caught.
1-26 12xx NE 168th - vehicle in driveway spray painted with green paint.
1-26  Eight units at public storage 14900 Aurora were pried open.
1-29  Police pick up person on street with eight pair of jeans stolen from Sears.
1-29  Police stopped a subject for possible vandalism of a bus shelter and discovered he was a minor in possession of alcohol and graffiti supplies. Identified as "I am Now" tagger.
1-30 Male stuffs a thousand dollars worth of nail, hair, and beauty products in a back pack at leaves Fred Meyer without paying. Loss Prevention contacts him - he leaves backpack with ID and leaves on foot.
1-30  Three juveniles in Echo Lake Park at 7:42pm smoking hash oil in a bong.
1-31  Man drinks at friend's house, drives his car into a pole at 202xx Ballinger Way, leaves car and goes to McDonalds to eat.

1-18  Eight storage units at the public storage at 14900 Aurora were broken into.
1-18 Two sisters broke into Einstein Middle school and were arrested.
1-20 Employee at RB QFC notified police that an elderly woman was trying to put $4000 on a quick-cash card. Police discovered she was being scammed by someone pretending to be a KCSO detective.
1-21  12xx NE 169th, purse stolen from kitchen counter, apparently through open garage door and unlocked kitchen door.
1-21 One unit of building at 162xx 15th burglarized.
1-21 Robber (since caught) who robbed Heritage Bank at 4-corners at gunpoint netted $654.
1-21 192xx 11th Ave residential burglary - stole guitars and skis.
1-21 Assist to Edmonds PD after their K-9 discovered three fugitive car thieves in the crawl space of a Shoreline home at 192xx Ashworth.
1-23 Residential burglary at 163xx Densmore - stole jewelry.
1-25 Graffiti tags at Paramount School park, Twin Ponds, power box at 8th NE, old Safeway Haggen store.

Selected items from the Shoreline Police Blotter, week ending 1-18-2016.

Local Starbucks had a rough week. The Gateway store took in counterfeit $20's. Someone broke the window at the Ballinger Starbucks and stole a bag and a purse. A man was Trespassed from the Gateway store for drinking Rainier Beer inside the store.

There were very few residential burglaries, but the businesses were hit hard this reporting week with burglaries, shoplifting, disruptive behavior, and vandalism: Top Tobacco, Costco several times, Salon Steven Crago, 7-11, Brown Bear, Central Market, Metro PCS, Public Storage at 149th, AandA Wireless, Whistle Workwear, Chevron at 155th, Goodwill, Seattle Ski, Fred Meyer several times, Auto Zone, UW Medical Clinic, Carter Subaru, Home Depot.

And two churches were broken into.

1-7  Someone broke the window at Whistle Workwear, 15240 Aurora.
1-7  Driver attempting to avoid a police stop, and his passenger, were arrested on multiple warrants each and the car was impounded.
1-8  FBI notified Shoreline Police that a student had called in a bomb threat for Shorecrest High School. Students were dismissed while the school was searched. Threat determined not credible.
1-10 South wall of Shoreline Police station was tagged with pink spray paint.
1-10 Forced entry to Ronald Methodist church, window broken with a rock. Nothing taken and a blanket was found in the sanctuary.
1-10 Man stole $230 worth of scratch tickets from Chevron at 155th and Aurora.
1-12 Burglar entered home posted 'do not occupy' for fire damage and stole items belonging to deceased. 7xx N 201st.
1-12 170xx 18th NE screen removed from window - electronics, cash, and jewelry taken.
1-12 Checks stolen from mail box in Interlake, one 'washed' and passed at local bank.
1-12 Car parked at Fred Meyer with doors unlocked and keys inside - was stolen.
1-12 Car stolen from Sky Nursery was found at Fred Meyer.
1-13 Purse stolen from indoor basketball court at Y.
1-13 Subject passed out in RB Library bathroom floor with pants down and open wine box.
1-14 Subject pried hinges from window door and removed from frame to enter Trinity Presbyterian Church and steal two guitars.
1-14 Unlocked home at 178xx 25th NE burglarized.

Week ending 1-4-2016

The week was marked by the number of burglaries and domestic violence calls.

12-23-15  Former Spin Alley employee used key and passcode to enter building and steal $2000 from the safe.
12-23  179xx 8th Ave NE burglar forced door from garage to house.
12-26  Someone requested a guest pass at the Y then went in locker room, cut off all the locks and stole from lockers.
12-27  20xx 20th NW burglar entered through pet door, stole safe, firearm, and car.
12-28  Burglar smashed the glass door at Top Tobacco on Aurora and stole cigarettes.
12-28 170xx 8th NE burglar smashed garage door panel to enter home. Unclear if anything stolen. Homeowner reports this is the second incident.
12-28 167xx 8th NE theft from home under construction.
12-28 22xx NW 199th burglar used pry bar on basement door.
12-28 Graffiti tags in bathroom at Echo Lake Park.
12-28 Man left his backpack outside the Viking Sports Bar with a pistol inside. When he remembered it, the backpack was gone.
12-29 Male driving Mercedes used a credit card skimmer to avoid paying for gas at 76 Station on Richmond Beach Rd.
12-30 15xx N 155th burglar kicked in front door.
12-30 Person found huffing keyboard cleaner by dumpster outside Bank of America on Firlands Way was Trespassed from site.
12-30 158xx 14th NE burglar kicked in front door, took computer and jewelry.
12-30 145xx 32nd NE burglar pried open side door of unoccupied residence and stole washer and dryer.
12-30 Graffiti tags at Twin Ponds.
12-31 Subject found standing in Aurora - taken for involuntary mental evaluation.
12-31 Subject tried to walk into traffic on Aurora, apparently high on drugs.
12-31 Naked man on Aurora had no knowledge of identify, but claimed he killed his wife.
1-1-2016 Shell station on Aurora burglarized, cigarettes and cash taken.
1-1 Tagging and homeless camp discovered during police check at Echo Lake Park.
1-1 29xx NE 198th burglar forced entry through front door, took safe and jewelry.
1-2 155xx 9th NE non-forced entry, burglar stole $10 radio.
1-3 30xx 149th burglar stole wire from construction site.

Week ending 1-11-2016

12-30-2015 170xx 8th NE burglar kicked in panel of garage door - third time this month.
1-3-2016 Graffiti spray painted on side wall at Einstein.
1-3 30xx NE 149th wiring stolen from home construction site.
1-4 165xx 8th NE burglar ransacks master bedroom.
1-5 Employee at Grease Monkey on 175th had been voiding cash receipts for four months and taking the cash.
1-5 Friends at Paramount House get in argument which results in a broken door and a door handle ripped off.
1-5 Car prowl at Children's Center. Window smashed and bag with laptop and medical supplies stolen.
1-5 Man's wedding ring stolen from unlocked locker at Y.
1-6 Tools stolen from construction trailer by Dominos in Ballinger.
1-6 159xx 1st NE burglar stole credit cards and electronics.
1-6 Clothes and perfume stolen from vehicle waiting for repair at Harvey's Auto at 14501 15th NE.
1-6 Graffiti at Hillwood Park.
1-7 Someone damaged lock at Saltwater Park in order to get out of the park.
1-7 17xx NW 193 burglar forced window, unscrewed lightbulbs, and used their pillowcase for loot.
1-8 Resident found his 'stolen' vehicle at Gerber impound where it had been towed from a fire lane.
1-8 Fraudulent cable account opened in resident's name. Bill became overdue and was sent to collections.
1-8 185xx 16th NE burglar stole a guitar.
1-8 Customer at Todo Mexico in Ballinger had their car prowled. Thief took new North Face jacket, MacBook Air Pro and legal textbooks.
1-8 155xx 26th NE burglar removed screen and entered through unlocked screen. Took jewelry and prescription drugs.
1-8 17xx N 160th burglar entered through dog door and stole small electronics.
1-9 Burglary at Top Tobacco on Aurora.
1-9 204xx 13th NW attempted burglary. Burglar ripped open screen but window was locked.
1-9 1xx N 205th burglar smashed window of vacant house for sale.
1-10 12xx N 173rd burglar entered through door on back side of garage and stole large television.

12-18  Bathroom at Echo Lake Park sprayed with white and black spray paint.
12-18  Drunk driver crashes into multiple vehicles and a fence 152xx Densmore.
12-19  Attempted burglary at Echo Cove apartments.
12-20  76 gas station on Richmond Beach Rd broken into and cigarettes stolen.
12-20  Two neighbors on Linden got in an argument and one punched the other in the face.
12-21  5xx N 190 burglary; first tried to pry kitchen door, then smashed basement window.
12-21  188xx Firlands - package theft, burglary, good video footage.
12-22  Gym bag stolen from 24 Hour Fitness on Ballinger.
12-22  Shoplifter at Sears stuffed his backpack with items, shoved security out of the way and ran. Captured later and charged.
12-22  Road rage incident on Aurora Ave ending at 159xx Westminster Way N. Victim alleges suspect points gun at him, suspect denies. No independent witnesses or evidence to corroborate either side’s version of the events.
12-22  Unknown male left a backpack full of drugs and paraphernalia at Central Market.
12-22  183xx Ashworth - car parked on street - driver's window smashed and car rifled through. Only thing missing was an iPhone cable.
12-22  Unknown suspect entered exterior closet off balcony and then forced entry through two walls to enter Ballinger Commons apartment. Likely interrupted because items were left staged in living room.
12-24  Inebriated male was scaring customers at Burrito in a Box at 175th and Aurora and refusing to leave. Taken for detox.
12-25  Subject Trespassed from North City Tavern after trying to pick fights with patrons.

Lots of shoplifting, trespass orders, public drunkenness, and mental issues this week.

12-14  Missing person found sleeping in garbage can, returned to group home.
12-14  Person with mental issues sent to hospital after being found in a customer's car in Fred Meyer parking lot.
12-14  Burglary 2xx NW 191st. Burglar removed screen and entered through small, horizontal window.
12-15  Roofing tools stolen from job site on roof of North City Safeway.
12-15  Key from lock box used to illegally enter Uber inspection station buildings at 165xx Aurora.
12-15  Unknown suspect tries to steal City of Shoreline vehicle in Walgreen's lot.
12-15  Former employee opened line of credit in Aegis resident's name in order to purchase a mattress. Transaction cancelled.
12-15  Resident at 1xx NW 167th left car in driveway with motor running. Someone drove it away.
12-15  Burglary at 150xx Densmore. Removed screen to climb in small kitchen window.
12-15  Burglary 163xx 128th - forced entry.
12-16  Top Tobacco at 160th and Aurora burglarized - front glass door broken.
12-16  Vehicles broken into at Evergreen RV supply on Aurora.
12-16  3xx N 167th. Adult and two juveniles rang doorbell numerous times. When homeowner did not answer, juvenile went around back and kicked in garage door panel and tried to enter.
12-16  Burglars forced entry into home of recently deceased person and ransacked it.
12-16  Shoplifter at Sears gave police the wrong name - that of one of Washington's Most Wanted. That person was already in King County jail. Shoplifter identified and arrested on warrant.
12-17  Driver fled on foot after being involved in minor 2 car accident on Aurora.
12-17  Back door kicked in at 193xx Greenwood but nothing taken.

Selected items from the Shoreline Police Blottter.

Crime continues in spite of the season, with package thieves getting bolder and bolder, including the woman caught on apartment surveillance video carrying a mail bag - full of stolen mail - while she tries to break into buildings and picks up packages on porches.

Lots of shoplifters, and package thieves, including one who got a wedding gift from victim's porch.

The taggers are back, spraypainting on city utility boxes and targets at public parks.

Bicycles went missing, and someone is specializing in prying open locked mailboxes.

Week ending 12-07-2015

11-26  Several calls about extremely drunk male at Paramount Park, stumbling around with several bottles of whiskey and urinating in the bushes.
11-27  Someone punctured tires and poured anti-freeze into a car gas tank at apartment parking on N 175th.
11-28  Drunken male passed out on sidewalk near entrance to Shay's on Aurora.
11-29  Christmas decorations stolen from lawn 16xx NE 185.
11-30  Theft from public storage unit at 149xx Aurora.
11-30  Theft from storage locker at The Blakeley, 192nd and Aurora.
11-30  Shoplifter at Bartells escaped on bicycle.
12-01  Heroin overdose in Fred Meyer restroom.
12-01  Burglary 178xx Ashworth, kicked in door from garage, stole jewelry,,
12-01  Patient at Crista Senior Living rehab kicked out after injecting heroin/meth into his IV line.
12-01  Burglary - second on street 178xx Ashworth, kicked in front door but didn't take anything.
12-01  Located driver from hit and run at 188th and Aurora; he was intoxicated.
12-02  Possible theft suspect refused to ID himself, then ran from police. They pursued and arrested.
12-02  180xx 1st NE, unknown suspect forced entry into locked room, stole safe and revolver.
12-03  5xx N 167th, while someone was home, suspect pounded on door, then threw a rock through the window to access front door.
12-03  Unknown suspect tried to steal several pair of work boots from Sears but gave them back when he was surrounded by employees.
12-03  Suspects seen stealing mail 20300 block of Greenwood. Some discarded mail found nearby.
12-03  Unlocked bike stolen from rack at Fred Meyer.
12-04  Driver of stolen vehicle tried to elude police but was stopped and all three occupants detained.
12-04  School-owned iPad stolen from student backpack at Shorewood - tech services shut it down.
12-05  Valuable candlesticks stolen from Highlands Chapel.

Week ending 12-14-2015

12-06  Everett Police stopped a stolen vehicle and found checks from a Shoreline resident in vehicle.
12-06  Sound City Bible Church burglarized 2800 200th NE in Shoreline.
12-07  O'Reilly work van stolen from Aurora location.
12-07  Video equipment stolen from storage locker at Shoreline Unitarian Church 147xx 1st NE.
12-07  Victim's car was prowled at 145xx Dayton. Nothing taken but someone else's credit card on ground by car.
12-07  Tires slashed on vehicle in private driveway at 157xx Ashworth.
12-08  Items stolen from lawn at 147xx 30th NE.
12-08  Woman followed to her apartment by man yelling at her. She thinks it was because of her faith.
12-09  Stolen vehicle recovered when owner saw it at the Chevron station on Aurora and chased off the three occupants.
12-09  Forced entry burglary at 185xx Burke.
12-09  Person tried to pry off a "boot" put on his car by SCC security.
12-09  25 plus mailboxes at 175xx Fremont pried open and mail taken.
12-09  Locking mailbox on stand pried open at 167xx Linden.
12-09  6xx N 176 attempt to pry open mailbox.
12-09  Man's bike and trailer stolen from foyer of Fred Meyer.
12-10  Woman was home at 162xx Corliss but did not respond when someone rang the bell. She looked out the window and saw a man trying to crawl through the partially opened garage door.
12-10  175xx Fremont - locking mailbox pried open and package stolen.
12-10  Unknown suspect stole a vehicle from a home in The Highlands. Vehicle was in driveway, unlocked, with keys inside.
12-10  Officer arrived at Safeway to take a shoplifting report just as employee detained a second shoplifter.
12-10  Someone selling stolen goods from a vehicle at 155x Linden.
12-12  Construction trailer stolen from 183xx 3rd Ave NE.
12-12  Vehicle stolen from parking slot at apartments 1999xx 19th NE.
12-12  Person at Tyee Apts overdosed on heroin. While someone was performing CPR on him, someone else stole rescuer's backpack.
12-12  Another burglary to storage locker at 149xx Aurora.
12-13  Officer observed a man on N 185th swaying back and forth and beginning to stumble into traffic.

11-16  Bicycle violation results in warrant arrest which results in drug charges.
11-16  Vehicle stolen from 193xx 1st NW found undamaged one block away.
11-16  New home owner found rifle and ammunition in crawl space - turned in to police.
11-16  Employee at Baxter Auto Parks took money from till and left an IOU in its place.
11-16  iPhone stolen from locker at Y.
11-16  Driver on Aurora stopped for defective tail lights, arrested for DUI.
11-16  Graffiti on Rapid Ride bus shelters.
11-16  Missing person found on Aurora and transported back to Marysville group home.
11-17  $4700 in gold jewelry stolen from home safe by likely known subject.
11-17  Suspect contacted on 18800 block of Palantine for suspicious activity was found to be unregistered sex offender.
11-17  Graffiti at Twin Ponds park.
11-18  Subject drove drunk, crashed into multiple power poles, then hid in nearby woods where police found him. Power was knocked out to nearby homes.
11-19  Graffiti in Hamlin Park restroom.

11-03  Two, possibly three suspects stole Grey Goose vodka from Central Market and escaped in vehicle and on foot. Vodka recovered, suspect threatened to come back.
11-04  Driver in traffic stop at 12xx N 160th was driving without a valid license and was arrested after running from officer.
11-05  Man with unleashed dogs on Shorewood High School grounds was Trespassed.
11-06  Burglary 11xx NE 185th, jewelry stolen.
11-07  3xx NE 175th, burglar used key to steal tools from garden shed.
11-07  14600 15th NE. Driver left van in middle of street and walked into nearby store.
11-07  N 175th and Aurora. Driver was stopped and questioned for failure to transfer vehicle title. Gave false name then ran from police. Arrested for resisting arrest.
11-08  Vandal threw a paving stone through window of James Alan Salon at 192nd and Aurora.
11-08  Counterfeit money passed at Aurora McDonalds.
11-08  Tools stolen from house for sale.

11-09  150th and Aurora - attempted traffic stop ends when vehicle leaves scene at high rate of speed.

11-10  Arrested heroin dealer at N 175th and Aurora, 10pm.
11-10  Woman with felony warrant questioned by police lied about her name and was arrested for obstructing an officer.
11-10  Unknown male stole candy from Bartells, fought with loss prevention officer, fled in vehicle.
11-10  Bus shelter tagger hit Richmond Highlands park.
11-11  Car load of juveniles on joy ride, in possession of marijuana, were stopped at 166xx and 18th NE and released to parents.
11-11  Victim left debit card in ATM machine at Key Bank. Someone ran up $1100 in charges.
11-11  183xx 6th NW residential burglary. No forced entry. Took electronics, money, and alcohol.
11-11  Man Trespassed, escorted off property for harassing Walgreens customers 145th and Aurora.
11-12  Bus shelter tagger got fence at Shell station at 172nd and Aurora.
11-01  Bicycle stolen from home at 16xx N 175th.
11-12  Skinny white male in his 40s driving van tried to pick up Shorewood student walking home from school 16100 block of Meridian.
11-12  Police responding to audible burglar alarm found broken window but no entry at home at 160xx and Dayton.
11-12  Highly intoxicated individual walking in traffic at 166th and Aurora, taken for detox.
11-12  Subject assaulted at Aurora Village transit center and backpack taken.
11-13  N 175th and 10th NE - attempt to steal vehicle from park n ride.
11-13  Safe found in ditch at Dayton Ave N and 200th.
11-13  155th and Ashworth, pizza delivery guy left keys in ignition, car stolen.
11-13  Auto stolen from Euro Deli at 200th and Aurora.
11-14  Unknown suspects broke window at coffee stand at Ballinger Chevron, may have entered.
11-14  Wallet and clothing taken from car parked at Linden Apts.
11-14  197th and 15th NW - burglar broke window to gain entry.
11-14  157th and Ashworth - broken window and possible entry.
11-14  Vehicle stolen from 147th and 15th NE was impounded after being involved in a hit and run.

11-01  Chess timer found at Echo Lake Park.
11-02  Man with felony warrant ran from police and was captured using a classic pincer maneuver.
11-02  Graffiti at Ridgecrest Park.
11-03  Subject broke into the laundry room at Days Inn and stole multiple items. Tracked with a K9 unit, captured and arrested.
11-03  Resident at Anderson House told police she was sexually assaulted by three people at a bank the day before. Multiple people gave statements that she had not left the facility since she was checked in on 10-30. Subject suffers from dementia.
11-03  Tag scratched into metal stall at Shoreline Park bathroom.
11-04  Possible suspect arrested for graffiti at Shoreline Park.
11-04  Tag on stop sign at 192nd and Ashworth.
11-04  Forced entry burglary at 203xx 5th Ave NW.
11-05  Tags at Richmond Highlands Park.
11-05  8xx NW 165th SUV stolen from driveway.
11-06  Subject who was prowling vehicles 20xx N 153rd Pl caught by police after foot chase and tasering.
11-06  Seahawks ticket scam on Craig's List.
11-07  Man stayed at victim's home for two days - took checks and attempted to cash one (stopped by bank). Also took car key.
11-07  Man apprehended stealing four pair of jeans from Sears. Booked into Lynnwood jail on two outstanding warrants.
