Vendor line-up for LFP Farmers Market and Crafts Fair on Sunday November 20

Get ready to shop because this Sunday, November 20, 2022 is the big Lake Forest Park Farmers Market and Crafts Fair– just in time for Thanksgiving!

Visit with your favorite market vendors while picking up all the tasty goodies you need to make your holiday feast complete. You’ll find plenty of farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and loads of locally produced specialty items like wine, cider, sauces, honey, candy, baked goods, and more.

The following food vendors are expected to attend: 
  • Alvarez Organic Farm - Certified Organic winter row crops plus many varieties of fresh and dried peppers; also pepper wreaths and garlic braids
  • Bautista Farm - row crops and some orchard fruit
  • The Beekeepers Secret - local honey and honey products, including gift packs
  • Browned and Toasted – gourmet rice crispy treats made with their homemade marshmallow and premium ingredients in traditional and holiday flavors
  • Cascade Valley Farm - pickled local vegetables, hummus
  • Doll House Baked Goods - pies, scones, cookies, bread, and more (pre-orders available)
  • Fourdice Culinary Enterprises - smoked olive oil and balsamic vinegar sets
  • Garden Treasures - winter row crops, plus crops from their greenhouses
  • Greenwood Cider - locally crafted hard cider, featuring many distinct flavors
  • Holmquist Hazelnuts - Grown in their orchards, delicious hazelnuts roasted or raw, plain, salted, or flavored
  • La Pasta - handcrafted pasta and sauces
  • Lopez Island Vineyards - award winning wines made from WA grown grapes
  • Martin Family Orchards - apples and possibly pears from their orchards
  • The Mediterranean - middle Eastern dips and hummus varieties
  • Mollie Bear Farm - lamb and limited beef cuts
  • Ola Mae BBQ – serving hot BBQ chicken or ribs
  • Pete's Perfect Toffee - handmade toffee and fudge, many varieties and gift packs
  • Sidhu Berry Farm - frozen berries and winter row crops, probably Brussels sprouts
  • Well Fed Farms - Certified Organic winter row crops like gourds, potatoes, carrots and squash; also a full line of pork products
  • Wilson Fish - smoked and fresh salmon and other ocean caught fish

The Holiday Crafts Fair will feature a dizzying array of vendors with virtually endless gift options including:

The farmers market and crafts fair will take place from 10am to 2pm this coming Sunday November 20th. The market will be split between two locations, with vendors both outside in the regular market spot and inside the lower lobby of Town Center at Lake Forest Park, 17171 Bothell Way NE.

And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the last holiday market and crafts fair of the year on Sunday, December 18th. (Though not all vendors will be at both markets, so sure to attend both so you don’t miss a thing.)

The holiday shopping season officially begins on Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 10am to 2pm at the Lake Forest Park Thanksgiving Farmers Market and Crafts Fair.

This wonderful annual tradition, presented by Third Place Commons, is the perfect opportunity to shop your favorite market vendors and stock your fridge and pantry with delicious, fresh autumn offerings for your big family feasts ahead!

Plus, you know you’ll find the best in local, unique, and handmade gifts among the dozens of fine art and crafts vendors. There will be something for every budget and everyone on your list – from jewelry to wearables to pottery, photography, original artwork, handmade cards, and more.

New this year, the market event will be spread between both the regular market location outside and inside the lower lobby of the Town Center at Lake Forest Park. So be sure to visit both locations so you don’t miss a thing!

If you have SNAP benefits, you can use them at this special market! If you already have market tokens or SNAP Market Match, you can spend them directly with the vendors. There won’t be the regular info booth outside, but if you need to use your EBT card, just stop by the Third Place Commons table at the lower lobby entrance to Town Center. And if you still have any 2022 Market Bucks, feel free to use those on any market food as well!

And mark your calendar now for the final special market of the year on Sunday, December 18th, just in time for your last minute shopping needs.

Apply now for the LFP Farmers Market Holiday Crafts Fairs

Artists and crafters are now invited to apply for the Third Place Commons Holiday Crafts Fairs on Sunday, November 20 and Sunday, December 18, 2022.

Both crafts fairs will run from 10am to 2pm in conjunction with special pre-holiday editions of the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market, which will take place outside in the regular market location (weather permitting).

In deference to the continually evolving COVID conditions, the current event plan is to have some crafts vendors inside in the traditional location in the lower lobby of Town Center and other crafts vendors outside with the regular market vendors.

However these plans could change in the lead-up to each event, depending on both weather and COVID numbers. On the application, please be sure to indicate via the designated tick boxes where you are willing to be placed for these events.

Applications for these competitive, juried events must be received via email by Monday, October 10th for guaranteed consideration.

All items must be handmade in Washington by the individuals selling at the market. Artists and crafters of all media are encouraged to apply to represent a broad spectrum of creative endeavors.

Take time to relax while listening to live music, savoring food and snacks, and enjoying the serene backdrop of the Salish Sea and Olympic mountains.

Gallery Art – Don’t miss a great opportunity to buy award-winning original art at reasonable prices at the Edmonds Arts Festival. Selected from more than 1,000 pieces submitted, these nearly 600 works of art were chosen for their excellence by professional art jurors in three categories: paintings, prints, and drawings; photography; and sculpture and 3-dimensional art. Everything is for sale in the three galleries located inside the Anderson Center building.

Live Theater at the Amphitheater – The Edmonds Arts Festival is trying something new on the main stage this year! Comedy Smorgasbord is the perfect recipe for Father’s Day weekend. One hour of hilarious restaurant-themed short plays written by award-winning writer Debra Rich Gettleman will have you feasting on the fun. Call for Artists and Crafters: Apply by 5-23 for LFP Farmers Market Crafts Day

Applications are now being accepted from Washington artists, artisans, and crafters to participate in the 2022 Crafts Day at the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market, which will take place on Sunday, July 17.

Crafts Day is a once-per-summer special addition to the regular farmers market, which takes place every Sunday from 10am to 2pm in front of the Town Center at Lake Forest Park.

Artists and crafters of all kinds are encouraged to submit applications for this juried event. Please visit the Third Place Commons website for the application and full details.

All applications must be submitted via email and received no later than Monday, May 23rd.

All items presented at the Crafts Day must be handmade in Washington by the individuals selling at the market. The market seeks to reflect a wide variety of media to represent a broad spectrum of creative endeavors, so submit your applications soon!

The market season opens as always on Mother’s Day, which is Sunday, May 8th, and runs every week rain or shine through October 16th. See you at the market!

You won’t find better holiday shopping than this Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 10-2 at Third Place Commons’ annual Lake Forest Park Holiday Farmers Market and Crafts Fair.

Yes, ‘tis the season of gift giving and local artisans will be serving up a wide variety of giftable goodies for everyone on your list. You’ll find a delightful array of unique, handmade jewelry, ceramics, metal art, bags, clothing, drawings and prints, photography, housewares, candles, holiday themed items, and more.

Whatever you need – from stocking stuffers to show-stoppers – the LFP Holiday Market will be the place to find it, including work from several new vendors who weren’t at the market in November. So whether you’re heading back for something you saw last time or looking for something new, you’ll find it at the market on Sunday!

And you definitely won’t want to miss the LFP Farmers Market, which can always be counted on to have the freshest and best in Washington grown and produced fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, wines, baked goods, and more.

Many of your favorite regular season vendors will be there to help you stock up for your feasts with friends and family over the holidays.

Winterfest Maker's Market Sunday has the perfect gifts for the holiday season

Over 20 vendors (kids, small businesses, school organizations, etc.) will be selling perfect gifts for the holiday season at the Winterfest Maker's Market Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 11am - 4pm at the Lake Forest Park Civic Club.  

The event is sponsored by Lake Forest Park Elementary PTA and features vendors from the community.

The Civic Club address is 17301 Beach Dr NE, Lake Forest Park, WA 98155. It is located at the end of Ballinger Way, on Lake Washington.

80+ invited artists, crafters, farmers all under one roof. Start your holiday shopping in Shoreline to find that perfect hand-crafted gift. Other event highlights include live music, food trucks, and wreath making workshops (info below).

We still have space in our 12pm and 1pm wreath making workshop! Join our 'Contemporary Textile Wreath Making' workshop with artist Allyce Wood. Combine traditional floral arrangement techniques with contemporary aesthetics to create beautifully contemporary holiday wreaths!

Two upcoming events for Seniors on Medicare and Aging Well At Home

Third Place Commons has two great events coming up via Zoom for seniors and those who love them!


First, on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 3pm, tune in for “Medicare 101.”

Confused about Medicare options or benefits? Want to help someone you love navigate this complex territory? 

Join Third Place Commons for Medicare 101 to get your questions answered by a pro. No sales, no jargon, just straightforward talk about Medicare to help you find your way.

Can’t make it on the 16th? There will also be a second session of “Medicare 101” covering the same material on December 1st at 6pm.


Then, on Saturday, November 20th at 11am, Third Place Commons explores the issue of aging in place with “Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Aging Well in Your Own Home.”

Whether you’re planning for yourself or helping loved ones plan, you won’t want to miss this informative presentation. Learn about resources and support available to seniors who want to remain connected with their communities and enjoy a high quality of life while aging well in their homes.

The session will be presented by the Northwest Neighbors Network, a nonprofit volunteer and service organization serving the communities of Edmonds, Woodway, Lynnwood, Brier, Mountlake Terrace, Shoreline, and Lake Forest Park.

The City of Shoreline and the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Arts Council have partnered again this year to bring you the 16th Annual Shoreline Holiday Crafts Market. This time as the Underground Holiday Market located at Shoreline City Hall!

New Location

Now at the Shoreline City Hall Covered Parking Lot. We look forward to using this modern covered parking space, and giving it some holiday cheer. It's also a big bonus that it's covered so if it rains in our beloved rainy state, we all stay nice and dry!

COVID-19

There are two extremely wide lanes in the underground carpark. With this large space to work with, we aim to provide a safe socially distant shopping experience with COVID-19. Details on social distancing methods will be available closer to the event and we will work with current guidelines to ensure our communities safety. Measures such as requiring masks, social distance signs, hand sanitizing stations, one way walking traffic around the carpark for visitors, appropriate spacing between stalls - just to mention a few. We will ensure to keep up with state guidelines, and will update these details by November 1st.

Please note: if this market does not happen due to COVID-19 restrictions, booth fees will be fully refunded. 



How to apply

Please fill out the application form online completely. You may include up to 3 images of work in all categories you wish to sell, the price range of the items, and a photo of your booth set-up if you have one. Include a brief description of your work. Color copies, drawings, or whatever best represents your work may be submitted in place of photos. Your work will be judged on this information only.

Submit your application by Monday, August 31st, 2020.

All items for sale must be handcrafted by the applying artist. No imported, manufactured/kit jewelry, or commercially prepared merchandise will be accepted.

Confirmation email sent to Artists: Tuesday, September 15th, 2020

Cost
  • Small booth space: 6’wide x 10’deep - $75
  • Large booth space: 10’w x 10’d - $125
  • Double booth space: 20’w x 20’d - $250
Uncovered booth spaces: 10’w x 10’d - $95. Vendors must provide their own canopy. This space will be located in the uncovered area of the parking garage.

Registration fee collected after you have been accepted into the event. Booth fees will be fully refunded should the event not happen due to COVID-19.

Free to attend as a visitor.

Event Date: Saturday, November 21, 2020, 10am - 6pm

Call for Artists and Crafters: Apply by Aug 3 for LFP Farmers Market Crafts Day

Applications are now being accepted from Washington artists and crafters to participate in the 2020 Crafts Day at the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market, which will take place on Sunday, August 23rd.

Crafts Day will be a one-day only addition to the regular Farmers Market, which takes place every Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM through mid-October.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, Crafts Day will be heavily modified like the regular market to ensure a safe day of outdoor shopping (and selling) for one and all. As a result, there are many changes to the application process and vendor requirements. Interested crafters should read the requirements carefully before applying.

Artists and crafters of all kinds are encouraged to submit applications for consideration in this juried event. Visit the Third Place Commons website and review the Crafts Day application carefully for full details.

All applications must be submitted via email and received no later than August 3rd.

All items presented at the Crafts Day must be handmade in Washington by the individuals selling at the market. The market seeks to reflect a wide variety of media to represent a broad spectrum of creative endeavors, so submit your applications soon!

LFP Holiday Farmers Market and Crafts Fair at the Commons on Sunday, 12/15

You won’t find better holiday shopping than this Sunday, December 15th from 10am - 3pm at Third Place Commons’ annual indoor Lake Forest Park Holiday Farmers Market and Crafts Fair.

Yes, ‘tis the season of gift giving and there will be delightful, unique, and handmade gifts for one and all at the LFP Holiday Crafts Fair. Whether you’re shopping for some cozy, crocheted comfort, a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry, some festive holiday décor, a gorgeous photograph or painting, a finely crafted pen or clock, or the ultimate challenge of “an escape room in a box,” there will truly be something special for everyone.

Offerings will include handcrafted jewelry, woodwork, home décor, toys, clothing, candles, soaps and lotions, original artwork, and holiday novelties galore. Whatever you need – from stocking stuffers to show-stoppers – this the place to find it.

Many of your favorite crafts fair vendors will be returning, along a bevy of fabulous new discoveries! About a third of the crafts vendors have changed from last month’s market, so even if you attended last time, you’ll want to be sure to stop in see what’s new!

And you definitely won’t want to miss the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market, which can always be counted on to have the freshest and best in Washington grown and produced fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, wines, baked goods, and more.
