The Holiday Crafts Fair will feature a vast array of gift options and will feature the return of many popular artists and crafters as well as some extra special newcomers.

Goodies on offer will include classics like beautiful handcrafted jewelry, knits and wearables, soaps, holiday cards, handbags, photography and original artwork, of course. But you’ll also find specialty items like therapy packs, enigma crates, upcycled journals, plush dragons, hand-carved Santas, plantable greetings, slate vases, and naturally, chicken art.

The farmers market and crafts fair will take place from 10am to 3pm on Nov. 24th. The farmers market is set up inside Third Place Commons while the crafts fair is held downstairs in the lower lobby of Town Center at Lake Forest Park, 17171 Bothell Way NE.

And don’t forget to mark your calendar for the last market and crafts fair of the year on Sunday, Dec. 15th. (Though not all vendors will be at both markets, so sure to visit both so you don’t miss a thing.)

Holiday Crafts Market at Spartan Rec Center Saturday Nov 23

15th annual Holiday Crafts Market at Spartan Recreation Center (202 NE 18th St. Shoreline, WA 98155), is on Saturday, November 23, 2019, from 9am - 4pm.

There will be plenty of parking, including in the Senior Center parking lot next door.

Jewelry, textiles, gourmet foods and holiday crafts abound! The market features over 60 juried artisans. Start your holiday shopping in Shoreline to find that perfect hand-crafted gift.

Admission is free! There will also be door prizes and food trucks on-hand. Coffee and baked goods will also be available for purchase.

‘Tis the season for holidays galore. And they won’t be complete without pre-holiday stops at two special indoor editions of the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market plus two fantastic crafts fairs for all your shopping needs.

The annual Thanksgiving Farmers Market and Crafts Fair will take place on Sunday, November 24th, while the Holiday Farmers Market and Crafts Fair will take place on Sunday, December 15th. Both events are presented by Third Place Commons and will run from 10am to 3pm.

Lovers of the LFP Farmers Market already know that you can always find a dizzying selection of farm fresh produce, meat, and eggs (much of it organic), plus fan favorites like jams, pretzels, baked goods, pickles, honey, and more. All will be on hand for the special indoor markets at Third Place Commons.

If you’re an artist or crafter who would like to participate in the upcoming holiday crafts fairs at Third Place Commons, now is the time to apply!

Complete application packets for these competitive, juried events must be received by Tuesday, October 8th for guaranteed consideration. The events themselves will take place on Sunday, November 24th and Sunday, December 15th. Applicants may apply for one or both fairs.

Apply Now for Holiday Crafts Fairs at Third Place Commons

Artists and crafters are now invited to apply for Third Place Commons Holiday Crafts Fairs on Sunday, November 24 and Sunday, December 15.

Both crafts fairs will take place from 10am to 3pm on the lower level of the Town Center at Lake Forest Park in conjunction with special, indoor pre-holiday editions of the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market. (The farmers market will take place upstairs in the Commons.)

Applications for these competitive, juried events must be received by Tuesday, October 8th for guaranteed consideration.

All items must be handmade in Washington by the individuals selling at the market. Artists and crafters of all media are encouraged to apply to represent a broad spectrum of creative endeavors.

Call for Artists: 2019 Holiday Crafts Market

Holiday Crafts Market – Call for Artists - Deadline: September 3, 2019

The City of Shoreline and the Shoreline-Lake Forest Park have partnered this year to bring you the 15th Annual Shoreline Holiday Crafts Market.

For one special day each year, just in time for the holidays, dozens of juried artisans transform two rooms of the Spartan Recreation Center into a festive gallery of handcrafted treasures and treats.

How to apply

Please fill out the application form online completely. You may include up to 5 images of work in all categories you wish to sell, the price range of the items, and a photo of your booth set-up if you have one. Please include a brief description of your work. Color copies, drawings, or whatever best represents your work may be submitted in place of photos. Your work will be judged on this information only.

Submit your application by Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

Selection Process

All items for sale must be handcrafted by the applying artist. No imported, manufactured/kit jewelry, or commercially prepared merchandise will be accepted.

Event Date: Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 9am - 4pm

Tour de Terrace starts Friday in Mountlake Terrace

Mountlake Terrace's big Seafair party starts on Friday and runs through Sunday afternoon.

Tour de Terrace is the Seafair-Sanctioned, summer festival for Mountlake Terrace and neighboring communities.

Presented by a small group of dedicated volunteers, this festival was created in 1993 to generate community spirit and pride. We invite families, businesses and visitors to celebrate in this family oriented, fun-filled festival.

It starts at 4pm on Friday, July 26, 2019

The big parade starts at 6:45pm on Friday. See celebrities, cool cars, amazing floats, drill teams, Mountlake Terrace High School Athletes, and so much more! And of course, the SeaFair pirates are on hand to "terrify" and delight the children! Check out the official parade map in our maps sections

Pancake breakfast 8am to noon on Saturday and Sunday at the south end of the main field. $6.

2019 Cedar Way PTO 5K Fun Run and Walk, Saturday, July 27, 8:30am, Mountlake Terrace High School. Packets can be picked up from 1 pm-6 pm Friday, July 26 at the booth located next to the First Aid and Arts and Crafts Booths. Full details and registration here!

Saturday 9am to 3pm only - Classic Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show
Located on the grass field next to the Carnival at Evergreen Playfield Complex, the car show registration begins at 8:00am with viewing of vehicles beginning at 10:00am. The Car Show entry fee is $20 and vehicles must be street legal to sign up. The first 100 cars registered receive a dashboard plaque.

Cars, trucks and motorcycles compete in sixteen classes for trophies. The Best of Show trophy is awarded to the overall favorite, as selected by a people’s choice vote. Trophies are awarded at approximately 3:00pm.

The music starts on Friday night and continues on Saturday and Sunday. See the full schedule here.

The Tour has the only carnival in our local area, with rides and games.

Davis Shows Northwest returns with a fantastic carnival, featuring awesome rides and a midway full of fun games. Ride the the Ali Baba, the Orbiter, the Zipper, Vertigo, Zendar, or the Starship 2000... but not on a full stomach! Or wander over to the midway and try your hand at Hoop Shots, Water Balloons, Balloon Darts, Paradise Place, and more.

Tickets are expected to be $3.75 each for rides; all day wristbands are $26.

Fireworks. Just when you thought the 4th of July fireworks were done - here comes the Tour fireworks show. Join us for an awesome fireworks show from Alpha Pyrotechnics! The show starts around 10pm on Saturday the 27th.

Then there's the arts and crafts, vendor booths, food, and beer garden.

Lake City Summer Festival and Parade Saturday, August 3

Lake City will hold its annual summer festival and parades (three of them!) on Saturday, August 3, 2019. Lake City has been holding this summer event since 1950, as part of the SeaFair celebration.

There are three parades, a salmon BBQ, beer gardens, car show, drone racing, dancers, artists, crafters, family fun zone, and a free movie about Chief Seattle's daughter!

When twilight arrives, the parades down Lake City Way begin. There’s the Rotary of Seattle NE kid’s parade at 6pm; the Original Dog Parade at 6:30pm; and The Seafair Grand Parade at 7pm, featuring all you favorites - Drill Teams, Marching Bands, Clowns, Pirates, and more.



And with the expanded parade route, there will be more majestic floats from all over the PNW!

Bring your chairs and enjoy the show.

Lake City shares a border with Shoreline and Lake Forest Park at NE 145th. The heart of Lake City and where most of the events take place is around NE 125th. Be sure to check the map so you don't miss anything!

Parking is a challenge, so they run a shuttle service in to the events.

Sunday is Crafts Day at the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market

Get ready for a big day of shopping when a whole host of fabulous artists and crafters come to the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market this coming Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 10am to 3pm.

Crafts Day at the LFP Farmers Market is your one-day-only chance to shop a wide array of jewelry, clothes, handmade cards, decorative items, and other original handicrafts by local creatives from across the region. Some of the specialty items this year include pet clothing, fanciful dragons and wings, bird houses, mosaic stepping stones, and more.


Treat yourself to something special, dress up your home or garden with some original artwork, or find the perfect gift for someone you love. There’s something for everyone at Crafts Day!

Naturally you can also count on the market for all your fresh and local food favorites. Fuel your healthy summer snacking with fruit from Collins Family Orchard, Martin Family Orchard, and RP Guerrero Orchard.

Destinations: Fremont Solstice Parade and Fair Saturday and Sunday

The huge Fremont Parade and Fair is this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, June 22-23, 2019 from 11am to 8pm both days. The event is in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood - aka The Center of the Universe and home of the Fremont Troll (under the bridge, of course).

Live, local, and touring acts have rocked the Fremont Fair since the annual celebration began in 1971. The year 2019 is no different! The fair is coming to you LIVE from Fremont with two all-free stages filled with musical groups and DJs that are as magical as the celebration the Center of the Universe is known for.

And of course, the Solstice Parade on Saturday at 1pm.

Seeking vendors for Holiday Market at Northshore Senior Center

Vendor applications for homemade items are now being accepted by Northshore Senior Center.
 
Holiday Market will take place November 1 from 9am - 4pm and Nov 2 from 9am - 3pm. 

Arts and Crafts and Fine Arts items must be handmade by vendor. Table sizes available are 8 foot for $75, 6 foot for $60, and 3 foot for $30.

Call for Artists and Crafters: Apply by May 20 for LFP Farmers Market Crafts Day

Applications are now being accepted from Washington artists and crafters to participate in the 2019 Crafts Day at the Lake Forest Park Farmers Market, which will take place on Sunday, July 21st.

Crafts Day is a once-per-summer special addition to the regular Farmers Market, which takes place every Sunday from 10am to 3pm from Mother’s Day through mid-October.

Artists and crafters of all kinds are encouraged to submit applications for consideration in this juried event. Please visit the Third Place Commons website and review the Crafts Day application carefully for full details.

All applications must be submitted via postal mail and received no later than Monday, May 20th.

All items presented at the Crafts Day must be handmade in Washington by the individuals selling at the market. The market seeks to reflect a wide variety of media to represent a broad spectrum of creative endeavors, so submit your applications soon!

The Lake Forest Park Farmers Market is presented each year by Third Place Commons, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to fostering real community in real space. It is located at Town Center at Lake Forest Park at 17171 Bothell Way NE.

Get ahead on all your Christmas shopping at the King's Holiday Show Nov 30

To kick off the holiday season, King's High School DECA is holding its third annual King’s Holiday Show KHS. This event will be showcasing nearly 70 vendors representing businesses from the greater Seattle area.

These booths will offer many treats and stocking stuffers as well as unique presents for everyone on your list. Come support King's High School DECA and join us on November 30, 2018, in King's Garden Gym, 19400 Greenwood Ave N in Shoreline any time between 9:30am and 3:30pm.

An estimated crowd of around 2,000 shoppers is expected to pass through the show throughout the day. This year's businesses range from Glassybaby to Alpine Hut winter hats.


Students will also be creating handcrafted gifts such as scented candles, and delicious edible cookie dough. These booths will offer great gifts opportunities for the upcoming holiday season.

This event is brought to you by King's High School DECA, a program dedicated to preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in all areas of business. All proceeds go towards the life changing journey and career opening program DECA offers to its students.

King's High School DECA alumni, and current UW Foster School of Business student, Jake Welch stated, "Participating in the Holiday Show provided valuable experience and great insight into the world of business." The show will continue to enhance current students' confidence and skills in all areas of business.

The Comprehensive Learning Program is DECA's approach to preparing students exploring five industries: entrepreneurship, marketing, management, finance, and hospitality.
