More Lake Forest Park Christmas lights

Tuesday, December 14, 2021

All photos by David Walton

Most are in the vicinity of the previous group of LFP photos around 34th St NE. But there are brightly decorated homes everywhere. Possibly because of the Porch Lights promotion and possibly because it has been such a difficult two years.

And this is the dark time of year. Hard to imagine that the winter solstice is just a week away and the daylight will slowly increase - assuming that we can see it through the cloud cover.

In the meantime, enjoy the bright lights.

This display is at the end of a cul de sac in Lake Forest Park, just east of Aldercrest campus, on the NE 30th boundary between Shoreline and LFP. 3034 NE 201st Pl.

You might be best advised to park and walk in - it's a short street and you'll want to look at everything.

Steve was out last night again looking for lights. He reports,

"I ran into a family checking out the lights from the SAN articles on lights. They were enjoying the displays and looking for the setups following the article and photos. Mom, Dad and son and daughter have a great TREASURE HUNT TO LOOK FOR THE LIGHT DISPLAYS."

Well, ok Family - here are more TREASURES for your hunt!

Christmas Lights V - still in Ridgecrest

Ok - for those of you who use recipes and work from lists - Steve has - to the best of his recollection - provided addresses for his photos, including for photos already published. (Hint: use the tag "christmas lights.")

For those of you who are a little more freeform - just go out after dark and drive around. I've never seen so many lavishly decorated houses as I have this year. It isn't just Ridgecrest.

It's a welcome push-back on what a very difficult year this continues to be.

What's the quote? Better to light one candle than to curse the darkness. Thanks to all these people who are lighting lots of (virtual) candles!
