Informational sessions on Shoreline Proposition 1

On June 1, 2026 the Shoreline City Council adopted Resolution No. 562.

The resolution places Shoreline Proposition 1 on the November 3 general election ballot to create the Shoreline Metropolitan Park District (MPD).

If approved by Shoreline voters, Proposition 1 would create the Shoreline MPD, which would enable the City to build and operate a pool facility with financing from Shoreline MPD property tax revenue.

  1. Honestly, I feel like I'm slowly being taxed out of living here in Shoreline. My salary just isn't keeping pace. Not to mention the effects of the tariffs and gas prices. I believe we need to scale back this project and focus on simply having a functional pool as we did not too long ago. Either that, or we need a thorough review on where we could redirect our already inflated taxes.
