A Shoreline resident picking up trash in Ronald Bog Park on Sunday March 8, 2026 found human remains at a makeshift campsite in the northeast corner of the park, near I-5 and N 175th.
The remains had apparently been there a long time.
Major crimes unit detectives from the King County Sheriff's Department responded and have charge of the investigation. They set up a forensic tent, surrounded by crime scene tape, as they collected evidence.
Do not allow camping in our parks! Check each park each night.
ReplyDeleteThat camp has been down there for years.
DeleteThis is too sad for words. I wonder if this individual was ever contacted by the outreach groups that the city champions.
ReplyDeleteSad thing is I saw a shopping cart filled to the top for days over there and than I saw the tent
ReplyDeleteI visited that park over a year ago. However, I noticed two men acting very strangely in the parking area. They were looking at me as I was walking my dog around the park. There were only a few people in the park at that time. Since they made me feel uncomfortable, I left right away. I have not visited that park again.
