Our victory came from the hard work of dozens of dedicated volunteers and over 250 donors who invested their time, energy and money into this short, fifteen-week-old campaign.

My proven record of civic service and building relationships throughout the small business, neighborhood and public school communities and regional organizations is, of course, reflected in these election results. It also reaffirms the importance of grassroots involvement and everyone’s participation in our representative democracy.

Our district cast over 62% of its votes for Democrats in this race*, and we have a record of coming together after a primary to support the Democratic winner in the general election. Both of our sitting State Representatives Maralyn Chase and Ruth Kagi have endorsed my campaign for State Representative Position 1, as have former holders of this position, the Hon. Donn Charnley and the Hon. Nancy Rust.

As before the primary, we are going to continue talking to voters in every part of our community and listening to their concerns. With continued education and outreach on important issues, I trust that the voters will send me to Olympia to represent their hopes and values. I shall be honored to serve them all.

Cindy Ryu, Democratic Nominee for 32nd LD State House of Representatives Position #1

*http://vote.wa.gov/Elections/WEI/Results.aspx?ElectionID=36&JurisdictionTypeID=5&JurisdictionID=63437&ViewMode=ResultsCindy Ryuhttp://www.cindyryu.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741412946805763929.post-15117211829301405662010-08-20T00:16:21.673-07:002010-08-20T00:16:21.673-07:00Hear, Hear Greg H!!Hear, Hear Greg H!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741412946805763929.post-78764810068559656922010-08-18T21:13:36.781-07:002010-08-18T21:13:36.781-07:0041.3 percent goes to 41.65, 38.5 percent goes to ...41.3 percent goes to 41.65, 38.5 percent goes to 38.1, and the headline screams, "Ryu widens lead over Coday." ??
Instead, how about a headline like, "Democrat in Democrat-majority Shoreline clings to slim lead over up-and-coming Republican"?Greg H.noreply@blogger.com
