She continues to stress that she will represent young people, but the job is to represent ALL LFP residents.

Has she ever paid property taxes? Has she ever held a private sector job? Has she put kids through our school systems?

It would be interesting to see Hilda read the post in this link and respond to it...

http://jonfriesch.com/2013/09/15/hilda-thompson-for-lake-forest-park-council/

JFAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741412946805763929.post-86542663266227360052013-09-05T20:02:43.035-07:002013-09-05T20:02:43.035-07:00Thompsom clearly has no concerns about spending th...Thompsom clearly has no concerns about spending the tax payers money wisely, and it does seem like that is a concern for Colberg. Please allow me to be clear that in no way do I think that the police department is doing a bad job. On the contrary, I met with Police Chief Sutton just to introduce myself and touch base with him in regard to some basic LFP police department information and issues. Police Chief Sutton is a wonderful person, and based on my experiences and what I know so far, doing an exceptional job keeping our community safe. I did say this earlier on the On The Issues page within the first few hours/days of establishing this website - "Police have been doing an exceptional job of keeping the community safe, developing healthy relationships with children and maintaining a positive image." I am just addressing it here, again, to make it clear that I do FULLY support Police Chief Sutton and the Lake Forest Park police department, 100%.
-----------------

Anonymous, it is important for City Council representatives to keep all options on the table (and be willing to say so publicly). In speaking with Police Chief Sutton, it is clear that if there were any interlocal deals put together with Shoreline or Kenmore (which should always be considered), the Lake Forest Park police department operations would be kept "in house" and we would be outsourcing to them (most likely Kenmore IF this were ever to happen). This is important for Lake Forest Park because it does allow our community to KEEP our police force if we do ever encounter any financial threats that would force the city to make any changes of this magnitude.

Thanks for visiting my website and commenting! I do hope to be able to earn your vote.

Sincerely,
Jason Colberg

Educator, Community Leader
2013 Lake Forest Park City Council CandidateJason Colberghttp://www.colberg.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5741412946805763929.post-7132814655196908952013-08-28T09:55:59.810-07:002013-08-28T09:55:59.810-07:00So as I read the candidates' websites, Thompso...So as I read the candidates' websites, Thompson is clearly for the Police Department while Colberg is muddy about it, stating: ~ teaming up to streamline the Lake Forest Park, Kenmore and Shoreline police administrations (so long as it does NOT reduce the quality and effectiveness currently provided by Lake Forest Park’s City police force at all);

So, is Colberg for keeping the Police Department or against it? His politician speak is making it difficult to understand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
