I think the post office was leasing the land and the owners decided to do something else with it. The USPS was surprised when given notice and has been scrambling. The only ones you can blame are the owners of the land, and I don't see that we can expect to dictate what the owners do with their property. It is just HORRIBLE management from whoever did this. It has been here forever, in a convenient part of our community so that it is very handy for ALOT of residents, esp for people who have limited means of getting there, be it from being handicapped, in a wheelchair or whatever.

It's almost like the post office did this on purpose just to sell the land and make some money, with NO regard for the people of our community. We certainly DON'T need more apartments around here, they are going up everywhere, and shouldn't be taking the place of post office or other utilities that we have used for decades. just like the Texaco station gone, more apartments, and we now have to go several miles to get gas, as now we'll have to go who knows WHERE to mail a letter.

Very very disappointed in Shoreline handling of this post office, and the post office managers who ALLOWED this to happen. Also as a tax payer I supposed it will come on us to have to pay for this horrible fiasco. and this time of year?? the Busiest time of the whole year?? WHO in the world is running this? They need to be replaced, to say the least.

Signed,
A Very unhappy Shoreline resident
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
