Shorewood bowling team named Most Inspirational at State Championships

Shorewood bowling team 1 at State
with Hall of Fame Coach Ed Wada


After the state bowling competition in Lakewood this weekend, February 17-18, 2018. the Shorewood I bowling team came home with the Most Inspirational Award.

Coach Ed Wada was inducted into the coaches' Hall of Fame, joining head coach Hall of Famer Tammy Ceesay.

Shorewood Team 1 took 3rd place in Division 1 besides the most inspirational team award.

Team 2 took 4th place in Division 3. Both divisions were extremely close.

Two of the Shorewood bowlers made the all state teams. Freshman, Brandon Hozjan, won in division 3 and Junior, Malcolm Jacobson, won in division 1.

The Shorewood teams gratefully received financial support from the community to be able to afford to go to the competition.

The 53rd Annual Washington State Bowling Proprietors' Association (WSBPA), State High School Varsity Bowling Championships was held Saturday and Sunday, February 17-18, 2018, at Narrows Plaza Bowl in University Place (Tacoma, WA)
