Obituaries are condensed biographies of people's lives, written by the people who loved them.

Like a memorial service, they tell us things we may not have known about the person, and may leave us wishing we had known them better.

Judy (Kleve) Vollrath  1950-2017  Raised in Shoreline and graduated from Shoreline High School and the UW. An avid outdoorsman, she rode horses and competed in high school gymnastics. "She met her future husband Dennis playing volleyball, and together they climbed, skied, hiked, and kayaked throughout the northwest and Canada." Montana (Tana) E. Saldin

Gerald F. Rowe  1946-2017  Completed two years at Shoreline Community College and received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Washington March 1976.

Ingrid Larsen  1924-2017  Born in Sandnes, Norway to Martin and Inger Haugseng. Married to Karl Larsen who predeceased her. Services at Cristwood in Shoreline.

Katherine Yu Coplan  1946-2017  Born in Wuhan, China and died at her home in Lake Forest Park. "She worked at the Washington Post, the Washingtonian Magazine, the Smithsonian Institution, the Smithsonian Magazine and the Seattle Opera." Services at Sakya Buddhist Monastery in Seattle. Donations to animal protection charities, Jewish Family Services or Providence Hospice.

Mirko D. Misic  1924-2017  Born in Skaric, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he and wife Mildred settled in Lake Forest Park in 1962.

Robert Edgar Westbrook  1929-2017  Bob and his first wife Jean raised their children in Shoreline.
He was active in Rotary and Kiwanis. "Many Shoreline area high school kids will remember Bob from the years he taught insurance classes as part of their driver's education training."

Helen Lenore Stoltz Dahlberg  1933-2017  She and husband Bill moved to Lake Forest Park in 1968. Both talented musicians, they passed the talent and love of music to children and grandchildren. She directed children's choirs at churches and performed locally. She was active in PTA and scouting - her sons and grandsons are all Eagle scouts. Services at Lake Forest Park Presbyterian.

Ellen Ostrander Lutz  1950-2017  Kirkland native attended Shoreline Community College.
