Running the bases but not outrunning the rain

The rains came down 

   sometimes softly and other times not 

The fans were drenched but they came to enjoy 

   the game, the game of baseball. 

Most brought umbrellas, they had been to games of the past 

   games of Aprils played In Shoreline.

...and most of the umbrellas were large golf umbrellas

You have to appreciate parents who support their kids,

no matter the weather
