Presentation of WASPC accreditation
to Lake Forest Park Police

This week, the LFP Police Department received its accreditation award from the Washington Sheriffs and Police Chief Association.

Accreditation is achieved through an intense review of policy, procedure, facilities, and personnel.

The review ensures best practice policies are being followed, training standards and department policy is in line with national best practice, and much more.

In Washington State, there are only 63 accredited police departments out of the more the 300 departments.

This accreditation is good for four years, however over the next four years we will continue to keep a sharp focus on maintaining the high standards in policing expected by our community.
