Seattle Kokon Taiko 35^th anniversary concert titled “Rhythm, Movement and Spirit” will be held on October 1 at the Shorewood Performing Arts Center in Shoreline, 17500 Fremont Ave N, 6:30pm.

They will be showcasing various pieces they have composed and learned from masters throughout the past 35 years, and they will also bring in guest artists (Michelle Fujii and Toru Watanabe of Unit Souzou, singer-songwriter Aura Ruddell with David Chapaitis from Made of Boxes, and local indie art rock band Ravenna Woods) for special collaborative performances.

This is truly a unique event for us, and we’re very excited for this concert as a celebration of 35 years of Seattle Kokon Taiko!

The concert is funded in part by a 4Culture grant and by community donations received via their GoFundMe campaign. Tickets are on sale on Brown Paper Tickets.
