Shoreline resident makes the Olympics
Katrina Young, platform diver

Shoreline native Katrina Young, a graduate of Shorecrest High and Florida State, used a clutch performance at the Olympic trials in June to qualify for the Olympics in the women’s 10-meter platform.

The Seattle Times wrote a feature article on Shoreline resident Katrina Young, who qualified in June for the U.S. swim team for the 30 meter platform dive.

See the article here.

The Olympics are expensive for U.S. athletes, as the U.S. is one of the few countries that does not subsidize its athletes. Katrina has a fundraising page where people can donate to help her with expenses.
