Everyone reads: Martin Marten - book discussion and presentation by author Monday

Wednesday, July 13, 2016

Shoreline and Richmond Beach have joined with Lake Forest Park READS again this year, marking the twelfth year of this community literary event.

In Martin Marten, Oregon teenager Dave and pine marten Martin experience ups and downs on the road to adulthood and learn that nature shapes us all. On Mount Hood, two young lives intertwine as they come of age.
Fourteen year old Dave lives in a cabin with his family, but separation from his life there approaches. Dave's story is braided with that of a young pine marten, also on the brink of adulthood and striking out on his own.
The interconnectedness of all life and the wonders of the natural world shine through this hopeful tale.

Third Place Books offers 20% off on this title through July 31.

On Monday, July 25 at 6:30pm the author, Brian Doyle will meet with readers to discuss Martin Marten before his LFP Reads presentation. Refreshments will be provided by the Honey Bear Bakery.

At 7:30pm Brian Doyle will be on the Third Place Commons Stage (upper level Town Center) for a presentation on his book for the annual Lake Forest Park Reads event.

Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park Town Center, intersection of Bothell Way and Ballinger Way, Lake Forest Park 98155.
