Friday Roundtable: The Interview - Dressing for Success and the Most Important Interview Question of All

Monday, April 11, 2016

Many thanks to Ann Conklin, whose story of success in her pet walking / sitting business was quite inspirational. It took a little failure and a lot of perseverance, but she’s now on track to solidifying her dream of being her own boss and making the money she needs to keep going. Congrats, and thanks, Ann!

This Friday’s Roundtable: The Interview: Dressing for Success and the Most Important Interview Question of All. Friday, April 15, 1-2:30pm.

All job interview questions ultimately boil down to this one: “Why should we hire you?” For some, this is a tough question to answer. You don’t want to come across as bragging or conceited, yet you need to explain why they should hire you over the other presumably qualified candidates.

You can answer this in a positive way that sets you apart and tells them why they need you. We’ll also touch on “Dressing for Success,” with some info that might be surprising. I wanted to include this topic last week, but time did not allow.

Please come share your ideas and experiences with these topics! All this with the usual great coffee and snacks, compliments of Central Market. Hope to see you!

And ask always – Good Luck Out There!

Friday, April 15, 1:00-2:30pm, Shoreline Community College, 16101 Greenwood Ave N, Room 5116, Building 5000 (ground floor)
