LFP Police nab thief with crimes in Kirkland and Edmonds

Thursday, May 28, 2015

Wednesday at approximately 2:45pm, a female subject came into the Albertsons and created a disturbance with the manager who suspected that she was about to steal alcohol and other items from the store.

The subject left the store on a bicycle and was described when they called 911. An officer completing a traffic stop at Bothell and Ballinger saw the subject riding across the intersection.

The subject was contacted in Log Boom Park in Kenmore. She became evasive and hostile on first contact. A check revealed a Kirkland PD warrant for her arrest for theft.

After being arrested for the warrant, a check of the bicycle’s serial number showed that it had been stolen approximately two weeks ago in conjunction with a burglary in Edmonds.
